Increasing antibiotic resistance poses an urgent global public health threat and a serious concern worldwide. Bacteriophage (phage) therapy has been identified as a promising alternative to antibiotics for treating bacterial diseases in both humans and animals. The excessive use of antibiotics in aquaculture is a major threat to sustainable aquaculture, promoting the spread of antibiotic resistance in the aquaculture environment and the contamination of aquaculture products with antibiotic residues.

(1) Background: Danaparoid sodium is a heparinoid antithrombotic that has been used for over 40 years for prophylaxis of DVT in non-HIT patients and for the treatment of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) with and without thrombosis. This update summarises current information on its pharmacology and reviews danaparoid dose management in a broad spectrum of clinical situations, including off-label indications. (2) Methods: Evidence from published clinical studies, case reports, compassionate use of danaparoid, and spontaneously reported serious adverse events is summarised and analysed by an interdisciplinary expert group to develop a consensus on dosing regimens of danaparoid for complex clinical situations, including vulnerable patient populations.

Obesity is a chronic, multifactorial disease characterized by persistent low-grade tissue and systemic inflammation. Fat accumulation in adipose tissue (AT) leads to stress and dysfunctional adipocytes, along with the infiltration of immune cells, which initiates and sustains inflammation. Neutrophils are the first immune cells to infiltrate AT during high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity.
