The advent of two-dimensional van der Waals materials is a frontier of condensed matter physics and quantum devices. However, characterizing such materials remains challenging due to the limitations of bulk material techniques, necessitating the development of specialized methods. Here, we investigate the superconducting properties of BiSrCaCuO flakes by integrating them with a hybrid superconducting microwave resonator.

With the advancement of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology, the demand for high-performance EUV photoresists has surged. Traditional photoresists struggle to meet the stringent requirements for increasingly smaller feature sizes in semiconductor manufacturing. Among emerging candidates, tin-based materials, particularly Sn-oxo photoresists, have shown promise due to their superior EUV light absorption properties.

Efficient navigation is crucial for the reproductive success of many migratory species, often driven by competing pressures to conserve energy and reduce predation risk. Little is known about how non-homing species achieve this balance. We show that sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinus), an ancient extant vertebrate, uses persistent patterns in hydro-geomorphology to quickly and efficiently navigate through complex ecosystems.

Chemoresistance is a multifactorial phenomenon and the primary cause to the ineffectiveness of oncotherapy and cancer recurrence. Membrane drug transporters are crucial for drug delivery and disposition in cancer cells. Changes in the expression and functionality of these transporters lead to decreased intracellular accumulation and reduced toxicity of antineoplastic drugs.

This paper addresses the complex problem of multi-goal robot navigation, framed as an NP-hard traveling salesman problem (TSP), in environments with both static and dynamic obstacles. The proposed approach integrates a novel path planning algorithm based on the Bump-Surface concept to optimize the shortest collision-free path among static obstacles, while a Genetic Algorithm (GA) is employed to determine the optimal sequence of goal points. To manage static or dynamic obstacles, two fuzzy controllers are developed: one for real-time path tracking and another for dynamic obstacle avoidance.
