Anonymous communication is crucial for preserving user privacy in various applications, such as anonymous browsing, secure online payments, and electronic voting. However, current systems face significant challenges related to robustness, fault tolerance, and efficient communication management. This paper introduces SRFACS (Secure and Robust Framework for Anonymous Communication Systems), designed to address these issues by integrating advanced cryptographic techniques with a structured communication framework.

Effective automatic classification methods via deep learning for myopic maculopathy.

Front Med (Lausanne)

November 2024

State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China.

Background: Pathologic myopia (PM) associated with myopic maculopathy (MM) is a significant cause of visual impairment, especially in East Asia, where its prevalence has surged. Early detection and accurate classification of myopia-related fundus lesions are critical for managing PM. Traditional clinical analysis of fundus images is time-consuming and dependent on specialist expertise, driving the need for automated, accurate diagnostic tools.

Background: Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) has been used for over 50 years to treat chronic pain by delivering electrical pulses through small electrodes placed near targeted peripheral nerves those outside the brain and spinal cord. Early PNS systems often required invasive neurosurgical procedures. However, since 2015, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved percutaneously implanted PNS leads and neurostimulators  offering a much less invasive, non-opioid option for managing recalcitrant chronic pain.

MultiFeatVotPIP: a voting-based ensemble learning framework for predicting proinflammatory peptides.

Brief Bioinform

September 2024

School of Computer Science and Technology, Hainan University, 58 Renmin Avenue, Meilan District, Haidian Campus, Haikou 570228, China.

Inflammatory responses may lead to tissue or organ damage, and proinflammatory peptides (PIPs) are signaling peptides that can induce such responses. Many diseases have been redefined as inflammatory diseases. To identify PIPs more efficiently, we expanded the dataset and designed an ensemble learning model with manually encoded features.
