Prcis: The prevalence of glaucoma in the adult population included in this study was 2.3%. Normal values of routine eye examinations are provided including age and sex variations.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence of glaucoma in a very large database.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of medical records of patients examined at the Medical Survey Institute of a tertiary care university referral center between 2001 and 2020. A natural language process (NLP) algorithm identified patients with a diagnosis of glaucoma. The main outcome measures included the prevalence and age distribution of glaucoma. The secondary outcome measures included the prevalence and distribution of visual acuity (VA), intraocular pressure (IOP), and cup-to-disc ratio (CDR).

Results: Data were derived from 184,589 visits of 36,762 patients (mean age: 52 y, 68% males). The NLP model was highly sensitive in identifying glaucoma, achieving an accuracy of 94.98% (area under the curve=93.85%), and 633 of 27,517 patients (2.3%) were diagnosed as having glaucoma with increasing prevalence in older age. The mean VA was 20/21, IOP 14.4±2.84 mm Hg, and CDR 0.28±0.16, higher in males. The VA decreased with age, while the IOP and CDR increased with age.

Conclusions: The prevalence of glaucoma in the adult population included in this study was 2.3%. Normal values of routine eye examinations are provided including age and sex variations. We proved the validity and accuracy of the NLP model in identifying glaucoma.

Precis: Current optical coherence tomography normative sample data may not represent diverse human optic nerve anatomy to accurately classify all individuals with true glaucomatous optic neuropathy.

Purpose: To compare optic nerve head (ONH) measurements between published values from an optical coherence tomography (OCT) normative database and a more diverse cohort of healthy individuals.

Patients And Methods: ONH parameters from healthy participants of the Michigan Screening and Intervention for Glaucoma and Eye Health through Telemedicine (MI-SIGHT) program and the Topcon Maestro-1 normative cohort were compared.

Purpose: To investigate the predictive value of MRI-based radiomics models for the recovery of visual acuity after 12 months in patients with acute phase MOG-optic neuritis(MOG-ON).

Materials And Methods: Clinical and MRI imaging data were collected consecutively from January 2021 to April 2022 from patients with acute stage MOG-ON, and the visual acuity of patients were followed up after 12 months. After stratified random sampling, patients were divided into training and test sets, and prediction models based on CE-T1WI, FS-T2WI, and combined CE-T1WI and FS-T2WI were developed.

: Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) are rare yet life-threatening dermatologic conditions characterized by severe skin and mucous membrane involvement. Accurate prognostic systems are crucial for clinical management to assess disease severity and predict outcomes. The primary objective of this study was to assess the epidemiological characteristics and clinical outcomes of patients with Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and SJS/TEN overlap over a 17-year period at a specialized burn center.

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of permanent vision loss worldwide and has a profound impact on patients' quality of life. Vision impairment is strongly associated with several psychiatric disorders, like depression, anxiety, and sleep problems. These psychiatric issues are often exacerbated by the gradual, irreversible, and typically silent progression of the disease, contributing to increased mental health challenges for affected individuals.

Background: To assess associations between mortality and major ocular parameters and diseases.

Methods: The population-based Ural Eye and Medical Study (UEMS) and Ural Very Old Study (UVOS) included 5899 individuals (age: 40+ years) and 1526 individuals (age: 85+ years), respectively. Cause-specific mortality was determined using the government regional information and analytical system.
