Demographic information about the identities of faculty, staff, students, and trainees is frequently collected in pharmacy education. A wide range of identities and characteristics can influence the choices and experiences of students as they progress through curricula and develop their professional goals. Understanding personal and professional identity formation within dynamic and complex environments is critical to promoting the success of pharmacy education and practice. Emerging research efforts highlight the importance of considering identity development from varying perspectives, and offer new methods for collecting and analyzing data. The objective of this commentary is to reflect on the methodological challenges of identity formation research in pharmacy education and offer recommendations for those interested in this work.

Identities of functional pSer/Thr.Pro protein substrates of the PIN1 prolyl isomerase and its effects on downstream signaling in bladder carcinogenesis remain largely unknown. Phenotypically, we found that PIN1 positively regulated bladder cancer cell proliferation, cell motility and urothelium clearance capacity in vitro and controlled tumor growth and potential metastasis in vivo.

The parabrachial nucleus (PB), located in the dorsolateral pons, contains primarily glutamatergic neurons that regulate responses to a variety of interoceptive and cutaneous sensory signals. One lateral PB subpopulation expresses the Calca gene, which codes for the neuropeptide calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP). These PB neurons relay signals related to threatening stimuli such as hypercarbia, pain, and nausea, yet their inputs and their neurochemical identity are only partially understood.

Background: Measuring adolescents' and youths' perception of their Cyber-Self can enhance the understanding of how digital technology influences identity formation. While psychological literature offers numerous measures of the self, there is a notable lack of studies addressing the measurement of the Cyber-Self. This study aims to evaluate the reliability, factorial- and criterion-related validity, and measurement invariance of the Cyber-Self Scale (CSS) across age and gender among the youth and adolescents in Saudi Arabia.

Background: Flowering is a complex, finely regulated process involving multiple phytohormones and transcription factors. However, flowering regulation in pitaya (Hylocereus polyrhizus) remains largely unexamined. This study addresses this gap by investigating gibberellin-3 (GA3) effects on flower bud (FB) development in pitaya.

Background: Functional foods and dairy products are gaining global attention due to their nutritional value and health-promoting characteristics. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are one of the promising components included in these products, thanks to their probiotic properties and ability to produce bioactive compounds such as bacteriocins. On the other hand, ectomycorrhizal wild mushrooms (truffles) are known for their ethnomycological importance.
