Predictive algorithms have myriad potential clinical decision-making implications from prognostic counselling to improving clinical trial efficiency. Large observational (or "real world") cohorts are a common data source for the development and evaluation of such tools. There is significant optimism regarding the benefits and use cases for risk-based care, but there is a notable disparity between the volume of clinical prediction models published and implementation into healthcare systems that drive and realise patient benefit.

Wrist arthroscopy can be an invaluable technique with both diagnostic and therapeutic utility for surgeons treating pathologies of the wrist. Its use has increased in recent years for a myriad of diagnoses. Understanding the foundations of the preparation for and performance of diagnostic arthroscopy is critical to the successful execution of arthroscopic treatment of pathologies of the wrist.

Purpose Of Review: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of preventable morbidity and mortality globally, and retinal imaging modalities (old and new) are being explored as noninvasive tools to predict latent atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. This review focuses on the emerging promise of fundoscopy, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in CVD prognostication.
Recent Findings: High-quality studies have established the utility of vessel-based parameters and discrete conditions diagnosable via fundoscopy in subclinical atherosclerosis detection or CVD prediction.
