Background: Dysgeusia is a distortion of the sense of taste whose prevalence and relationship with nutritional status in Metabolic dysfunction-associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD)-related advanced chronic liver disease (ACLD) have never been systematically explored.
Methods: 200 MASLD patients [60 ≤ F3 fibrosis, 70 compensated ACLD (cACLD), and 70 decompensated (dACLD)] were enrolled. At baseline, the Child-Pugh (CP) score was determined.

The global epidemic of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is increasing worldwide. People with MASLD can progress to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma and are at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, and extrahepatic cancers. Most people with MASLD die from cardiac-related causes.

The disorders can be both either a consequence or a cause of severe somatic disorders. If BFRBs remain undetected and untreated, they tend to become chronic with at times serious somatic complications.

Beetle femur-tibial joints can bear large loads, and the joint structure plays a crucial role. Differences in living habits will lead to differences in femur-tibial joint structure, resulting in different mechanical properties.
