Vasoproliferative tumors (VPT) are benign retinal lesions that may cause epiretinal membrane proliferation and tractional retinal detachments (TRD). We describe a case of a 71-year-old woman who presented with a macula involving TRD in the setting of a VPT. Given the limited number of publications on the management of these cases, we aim to articulate some principles we believe may be helpful in planning a surgical approach that maximizes postoperative anatomic and functional outcomes. We hope that our video provides useful guidance in preparing the vitreoretinal surgeon for managing this uncommon entity. .

Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most severe forms of retinopathy and a leading cause of blindness all over the world. Of a greater concern is proliferative diabetic retinopathy which leads to vitreous haemorrhage and tractional retinal detachment in such cases. A majority of these cases require a surgical intervention to improve vision and prevent further vision loss.

This study investigates the occurrence of multiple parafoveal retinal detachments (RDs) in myopic traction maculopathy (MTM), emphasizing the atypical extrafoveal involvement compared to central foveal detachment commonly observed. Patient 1, a 46-year-old male, exhibited MTM with retinoschisis and four small subretinal fluid (SRF) pockets inferior to the fovea, accompanied by a hyperautofluorescent vitelliform deposit. Patient 2, a 43-year-old male, reported ring-shaped dim vision in the left eye, displaying MTM with six stable SRF pockets surrounding the fovea.

There is a lack of research on the clinical characteristics of vitreomacular traction (VMT) in the Central Asian population, which evaluates the visual recovery and macular hole closure outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with membrane peel in this population. This long-term prospective cohort study, conducted at the Kazakh Eye Research Institute from June 2015 to December 2021 with a follow-up period until December 2022, included 1574 patients (1784 eyes) with VMT syndrome. Among the eyes, 724 (40.

Purpose: To evaluate the potency and security of Pneumatic Vitreolysis (PVL) as the primary treatment for Full-Thickness Macular Holes (FTMHs) and provide insights into patient selection criteria and procedural outcomes.
Patients And Methods: A retrospective analysis of three clinical cases presenting with FTMHs treated initially with PVL was conducted. Cases were evaluated for anatomical and functional outcomes through comprehensive ophthalmic examination and optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging.

Purpose: To investigate whether wide-angle fluorescein angiography (FA) was useful for detecting familial exudative retinopathy (FEVR) in patients with neurodevelopmental disorder with spastic diplegia and visual defects (NEDSDV).
Methods: This was a retrospective chart review from 2013 to 2023 of all consecutive patients with NEDSDV and pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants.
Results: Seven patients (four females, three males) were seen in the ophthalmology clinic (median age: 14 months).
