In this paper, sphingomyelin (SM) is detected by a polyaniline hydrogel and Au nanoparticles with enzyme modified electrode (GCE/PAniH/AuNPs@enzyme). After a battery of enzymic degradation, SM can generate HO and enhance the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) response of luminol, which endows the sensor with good sensitivity, specifiity and repeatability. Additionally, the proposed ECL biosensor displays good analytical performances with a wide range from 10.0 μg·mL to 250.0 μg·mL as well as a low detection limit of 3.50 μg·mL (S/N = 3). When the ECL biosensor is used in the detection of SM in milk samples, satisfactory results are obtained, indicating that PAniH/AuNPs@enzyme will serve as a promising ECL material in the applications of HO-related bioassay in the future.

The excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) in solid tumors significantly inhibits the deep penetration and homogeneous distribution of nanodrugs, which greatly reduces the therapeutic efficacy. In the present work, an injectable polyelectrolyte hydrogel (CD@IPH) containing collagenase and doxorubicin-loaded polyacrylic acid@polyaniline nanoparticles (DOX@NP) were developed for improved photothermal and chemotherapy. The collagenase is released quickly from the polyelectrolyte hydrogel in the first 12 h, effectively degrading ECM and enhancing the deep penetration and evenly distribution of DOX@NP in tumor tissues.

Gel electrolytes have emerged as a promising solution for enhancing the performance of zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs), particularly in flexible devices. However, they face challenges such as low-temperature inefficiency, constrained ionic conductivity, and poor mechanical strength. To address these issues, this study presents a novel PAMCD gel electrolyte with tunable freezing point and mechanical properties for ZIBs, blending the high ionic conductivity of polyacrylamide with the anion interaction capability of β-cyclodextrin.

Hydrogel-based flexible electronic components have become the optimal solution to address the rigidity problem of traditional electronics in health management. In this study, a multipurpose hydrogel is introduced, which is formed by combining a dual-network consisting of physical (chitosan, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)) and chemical (poly(isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAM)-co-acrylamide (AM))) cross-linking, along with signal conversion fillers (eutectic gallium indium (EGaIn), TiC MXene, polyaniline (PANI)) for responding to external stimuli. Multiple sensing of dynamic and static signals is permissible for it.

Conductive hydrogels have great potential as electrolyte materials for flexible strain sensors and supercapacitors. However, it remains a challenge to develop multifunctional hydrogels with excellent frost resistance, toughness, ionic conductivity, and electrochemical properties using simple methods. Herein, a "chemical-physical-ionic" cross-linked sodium alginate/polyacrylamide/polyaniline (SA/PAM/Ca/PANI) multi-network hydrogel was developed by in situ polymerization of aniline monomer within a Ca-crosslinked SA/PAM hydrogel network.
