A synopsis of the species of (Apicomplexa: Gregarinomorphea: Arthrogregarida) is presented, including a total of 114 species of worldwide. The most significant morphological and morphometric traits for each species are included together with information on the type-host, type locality, the infection site within the host and the original references. This checklist enumerates total spp. in a place described so far in the worldwide pattern.

Two decades of imaging photoelectron circular dichroism: from first principles to future perspectives.

Phys Chem Chem Phys

January 2025

Institute of Photonics & Quantum Sciences, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh EH14 4AS, UK.

There has been a significant recent surge in the number of studies interrogating chiral molecules in the gas phase using photoelectron circular dichroism (PECD) and related techniques. These investigations have revealed new fundamental insights into the structure and dynamics of chiral species and, furthermore, have the potential to revolutionize the field of chiral analysis for more practical and industrial applications. As it has been just over 20 years since the first PECD imaging experiments were demonstrated - and 10 years since the last dedicated general perspective article on the topic - a new overview now seems extremely timely.

Recent years, intensified fed-batch culture with ultra-high seeding density (uHSD-IFB) is coming to the forefront of manufacturers' choice for its enhanced productivity. However, the effects of seed cell physiological state and aeration strategies on these processes remain underexplored due to the ultra-high seeding density. Currently, the pre-production seeding inoculum (N-1) crucial for the uHSD-IFB cultures relies heavily upon case-by-case empirical experiences.

Nanomedicine, the most promising approach for regulated and targeted drug delivery, is frequently applied in cancer treatment. Essentially, accumulating evidence indicates that nanomedicine has positive results in the treatment of breast cancer (BC), with many BC patients benefiting from nanomedicine-related treatments. Currently, nanodrug delivery systems based on stimulus responses are gaining popularity because of their additional ability to manage drug release depending on the interior environment of the cancer.

Akamboja Roza et al., 2017 (Phengodidae: Mastinocerinae) was described to include five species, all from Atlantic Forest, which are characterized by having ten segmented antennae, biflabellate from antennomeres IV-VIII, and with fused flabellae on antennomere IX. The genus comprises six species today, including one from Ilha Grande (Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil) with the IX antennomere flabellae not fused.

The early and mature larvae of Pselaphacus procerus Kuhnt, 1910 are described here for the first time and the adult male and female are redescribed. The description of the larvae of this species represents the second of Pselaphacus immatures. The early larvae of this species are easily separated from mature larvae, by the absence of dorsal sclerotized plates on the abdomen of the former.
