Introduction: There are limited reports on the epidemiology of paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) admissions, deaths and organ donation candidacy. We aimed to describe PICU admission characteristics and outcomes, determine risk factors for mortality, and perform an independent assessment of missed organ donation opportunities.
Method: We adopted a clinical audit design recruiting consecutive patients admitted to a single-centre multidisciplinary PICU from June 2020 to December 2023.

Objective: Current biomarkers for predicting immunotherapy response in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are derived from invasive procedures with limited predictive accuracy. Thus, identifying a non-invasive predictive biomarker would improve patient stratification and precision immunotherapy.
Methods And Analysis: In this retrospective multicohort study, the discovery cohort included 205 NSCLC patients screened from ORIENT-11 and an external validation (EV) cohort included 99 real-world NSCLC patients.

Cellular senescence has been identified as a potential driver of age-associated loss of organ function and as a mediator of age-related disease. Novel strategies in targeting senescent cells have shown promise in several organ systems to counteract functional decline, chronic inflammation, and age-dependent loss of repair capacity. Transgenic models have provided proof of principle that senolysis, the elimination of senescent cells, is an attractive strategy to overcome many age-related pathologies.

Background: Chronic Nonbacterial Osteomyelitis (CNO) is a rare auto-inflammatory disease that mainly affects children, and manifests with single or multiple painful bone lesions. Due to the lack of specific laboratory markers, CNO diagnosis is a matter of exclusion from different conditions, first and foremost bacterial osteomyelitis and malignancies. Whole Body Magnetic Resonance (WBMR) and bone biopsy are the gold standard for the diagnosis.
