Multiple resonance (MR) compounds have garnered substantial attention for their prospective utility in wide color gamut displays. Nevertheless, developing red MR emitters with both high efficiency and saturated emission color remains demanding. We herein introduce a comprehensive strategy for spectral tuning in the red region by simultaneously regulating the π-conjugation and electron-donating strengths of a double boron-embedded MR skeleton while preserving narrowband characteristics. The proof-of-concept materials manifested emissions from orange-red to deep red, with bandwidths below 0.12 eV. The pure-red device based on CzIDBNO displayed superior color purity with CIE coordinates of (0.701, 0.298), approaching the Broadcast Television 2020 standard. In concert with high photoluminescence quantum yield and strong horizontal dipole orientation, CzIDBNO also achieved a maximum external quantum efficiency of 32.5% and a current efficiency of 20.2 cd A, outstripping prior reported organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with CIE exceeding 0.68. These findings offer a roadmap for designing high-performance emitters with exceptional color purity for future OLED material research advancements.

protein design has advanced such that many peptide assemblies and protein structures can be generated predictably and quickly. The drive now is to bring functions to these structures, for example, small-molecule binding and catalysis. The formidable challenge of binding and orienting multiple small molecules to direct chemistry is particularly important for paving the way to new functionalities.

Mechanical properties of engineered connective tissues are critical for their success, yet modern sensors that measure physical qualities of tissues for quality control are invasive and destructive. The goal of this work was to develop a noncontact, nondestructive method to measure mechanical attributes of engineered skin substitutes during production without disturbing the sterile culture packaging. We optimized a digital holographic vibrometry (DHV) system to measure the mechanical behavior of Apligraf living cellular skin substitute through the clear packaging in multiple conditions: resting on solid agar as when the tissue is shipped, on liquid media in which it is grown, and freely suspended in air as occurs when the media is removed for feeding.

Background: Although optic neuritis (ON) is common in multiple sclerosis (MS), lesions of the optic nerve are not included as an anatomical substrate for dissemination in space and time (DIS and DIT).
Objective: To assess the increase in sensitivity of including MRI lesions of the optic nerve for the diagnosis of MS in patients with ON.
Methods: We included patients consecutively referred with first time, monosymptomatic ON, with no known cause of the ON, who underwent orbital MRI including fat suppressed T2 and T1-sequences with and without gadolinium contrast.

Background: The large language model ChatGPT can now accept image input with the GPT4-vision (GPT4V) version. We aimed to compare the performance of GPT4V to pretrained U-Net and vision transformer (ViT) models for the identification of the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Methods: Paired coregistered MR images with and without progression were provided as input to ChatGPT4V in a zero-shot experiment to identify radiologic progression.

Cognitive impairment (CI) in multiple sclerosis (MS) is only partially explained by whole-brain volume measures, but independent component analysis (ICA) can extract regional patterns of damage in grey matter (GM) or white matter (WM) that have proven more closely associated with CI. Pathology in GM and WM occurs in parallel, and so patterns can span both. This study assessed whether joint-ICA of GM and WM features better explained cognitive function compared to single-tissue ICA.
