has been used in central-west region of Argentina in traditional medicine as diuretic plant. The aim of this present study was to evaluate the diuretic activity of in-vivo. We used dried aerial parts, and infusions from these were orally administered to Wistar rats. Its effect was evaluated using furosemide as a positive drug and isotonic salt solution as negative control. Their urine output was quantified at several time intervals. The volume of urine excreted and Na increased significantly, being similar to furosemide. Mannitol, was the main component in aqueous extracts of and the acetone extract showed the presence of Δ- oleanane-type triterpenoids compounds, mainly hederagenin. No toxic effects were observed.

Na-K-Cl cotransporters functions as an anion importers, regulating trans-epithelial chloride secretion, cell volume, and renal salt reabsorption. Loop diuretics, including furosemide, bumetanide, and torsemide, antagonize both NKCC1 and NKCC2, and are first-line medicines for the treatment of edema and hypertension. NKCC1 activation by the molecular crowding sensing WNK kinases is critical if cells are to combat shrinkage during hypertonic stress; however, how phosphorylation accelerates NKCC1 ion transport remains unclear.

Aims: Early identification and management of worsening heart failure (HF) is necessary to prevent disease progression and hospitalizations. The ALLEVIATE-HF (Algorithm Using LINQ Sensors for Evaluation and Treatment of Heart Failure) trial is a prospective, randomized, controlled, double-blind, multicentre trial that aims to assess the safety and efficacy of using the Reveal LINQ™ insertable cardiac monitor (ICM) in patients with HF to continuously monitor and evaluate HF risk status and guide timely interventions.

Methods: The ICM algorithm uses parameters derived from electrocardiogram (atrial fibrillation [AF], ventricular rate during AF, heart rate variability, and night heart rate), three-axis accelerometer (patient activity duration), and subcutaneous bioimpedance (fluid volume, respiration rate).

Radiopharmaceuticals targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) have emerged as a sensitive tool for PET imaging of prostate cancer (PCa) recurrence. Yet urinary bladder activity may obscure the visualization of prostate bed recurrence. Among the Food and Drug Administration-approved PSMA radiopharmaceuticals, F-flotufolastat (rhPSMA-7.

Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is the third most common cause of acute cardiovascular disease, which can lead to high morbidity and mortality if left untreated. Anatomical and electrophysiological variations and obesity may complicate timely diagnosis and delay required management. While computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) remains the most accurate diagnostic tool, initial assessments using electrocardiography (ECG) or echocardiography can be helpful in early suspicion.

Aims: Left ventricular (LV) diastolic dysfunction and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) are common cardiac complications of patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). Exercise stress echocardiography is often used in symptomatic patients with SSc to detect abnormal increases in pulmonary pressures during exercise, but the pathophysiologic and prognostic significance of exercise stress echocardiography to assess the presence of HFpEF in these patients is unclear.

Methods And Results: Patients with SSc (n=140) underwent ergometry exercise stress echocardiography with simultaneous expired gas analysis.
