Non-Optic Glioma-like Lesions in Adult Neurofibromatosis Type 1 Patients.

Diagnostics (Basel)

December 2024

Department of Neuro-Oncology/Neurology, Erasmus MC Cancer Institute, 3015 GD Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Physicians face clinical dilemmas in the diagnosis of non-optic intraparenchymal lesions on MRI brain scans of patients with neurofibromatosis type 1. As the incidence and evolution of these lesions into adulthood remain unclear, we conducted a retrospective study on this topic. All adult neurofibromatosis type 1 patients who had at least one MRI brain scan in our center were selected for this study.

Affordable high-resolution cameras and state-of-the-art computer vision techniques have led to the emergence of various vision-based tactile sensors. However, current vision-based tactile sensors mainly depend on geometric optics or marker tracking for tactile assessments, resulting in limited performance. To solve this dilemma, we introduce optical interference patterns as the visual representation of tactile information for flexible tactile sensors.

Managing multiple tasks simultaneously often results in performance decrements due to limited cognitive resources. Task prioritization, requiring effective cognitive control, is a strategy to mitigate these effects and is influenced by the stability-flexibility dilemma. While previous studies have investigated the stability-flexibility dilemma in fully manual multitasking environments, this study explores how cognitive control modes interact with automation reliability.

School of Mechatronic & Automation Engineering, Shanghai University, Shanghai 200444, China; Key Laboratory of Silicate Cultural Relics Conservation (Shanghai University), Ministry of Education, China. Electronic address:

Fiber reinforced polymer composites (FRPs) are essential for various industrial fields, but wrinkles inside will greatly reduce their mechanical properties. Full-matrix capture (FMC) is a popular data structure for ultrasonic phased array imaging in composites. However, such structure may lead to data redundancy and noise interference.
