An efficient and facile one-pot protocol to access enynylboronates a Pt-catalyzed diboration/protodeboration strategy has been developed. The reaction is suitable for various silylsubstituted symmetrical and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes, leading to π-conjugated organoboron compounds with excellent regio- and stereoselectivity.

GABA receptors (GABARs) are the major elements of inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system (CNS). They are established targets for regulation by endogenous brain neuroactive steroids (NASs) such as pregnanolone. However, the complexity of de novo synthesis of NAS derivatives has hindered attempts to circumvent the principal limitations of using endogenous NASs, including selectivity and limited oral bioavailability.

Cannabichromene (CBC), a valuable but extremely low-abundance component of cannabinoids in L., is known for its ability to promote neurogenesis. The scarcity of CBC in natural is primarily attributed to the inefficiency of the 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate/2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 4 phosphate (DOXP/MEP) and fatty acid metabolism pathways, along with the limited competitive advantage of cannabichromenic acid synthetase (CBCAS) compared to other cannabinoid synthases.

Curcumin is known for its potential health benefits; however, the evidence remains inconclusive regarding its necessity as a supplement for athletes during the preparatory phase of training. This study aimed to assess the effect of 6-week curcumin supplementation at a dose of 2g/day on selected inflammatory markers, blood count, and brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) levels in middle-aged amateur long-distance runners during the preparatory period of a macrocycle. Thirty runners were randomly assigned to either a curcumin-supplemented group (CUR, n = 15) or a placebo group (PLA, n = 15).

Widespread anthelmintic resistance has complicated the management of parasitic nematodes. Resistance to the benzimidazole (BZ) drug class is nearly ubiquitous in many species and is associated with mutations in beta-tubulin genes. However, mutations in beta-tubulin alone do not fully explain all BZ resistance.

A predictive model for long-term survival is needed, and mitochondrial dysfunction is a key feature of cancer metabolism, though its link to glioma is not well understood. The aim of this study was to identify the molecular characteristics associated with glioma prognosis and explore its potential function. We analyzed RNA-seq data from The Cancer Genome Atlas and identified differentially expressed mitochondrial long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) using R's 'limma' package.
