A 38-year-old man with history of Crawford extent I thoracoabdominal aneurysm and chronic type B aortic dissection underwent a hybrid repair using the frozen elephant trunk technique. The patient was followed up annually, and type II endoleak of the descending thoracic aorta was diagnosed, leading to negative aortic remodeling. The endoleak was managed by performing intercostal artery clipping using minimally invasive thoracoscopic technique under transesophageal echocardiography control. The computed tomography scan showed no endoleak and complete false-lumen thrombosis with positive remodeling in the distal aortic segments.

Reconstructed breast with silicone breast implants (SBIs) after nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) provides high patient satisfaction from a cosmetic point of view, but low patient satisfaction with respect to hypoesthesia of the reconstructed breast, and reinnervation is required. Currently, few reports are available on reinnervation in breast reconstruction with implants, and detailed data on desensitization of reconstructed breasts are lacking. Therefore, we examined perceptual data after NSM with respect to reinnervation.

Background: Pedicle screw insertion in posterior spinal surgery can cause vascular injuries, including rare intercostal artery pseudoaneurysms, which are typically discovered incidentally during reimaging. Onyx embolization is an effective treatment for small artery pseudoaneurysms.

Observations: A 36-year-old man who had initially presented with back pain that remained unresponsive to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs was diagnosed with a T7-8 sarcomatous lesion confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging and biopsy.

Intercostal artery aneurysms are a type of vascular abnormality that poses a potential risk of rupture, which could lead to life-threatening hemothorax. This case report presents a young male who experienced a rupture of an intercostal artery aneurysm and subsequently suffered from a massive hemothorax after engaging in strenuous physical activity. The current case study sheds light on the difficulties and lessons learned in managing such cases in peripheral settings, including the dilemma of whether to insert an intercostal chest drain (ICD).
