Background: As required in every dynamic stabilization system, the implantation of the BDYN device implies a perfect positioning of the screws and rods to benefit from its biomechanical properties. To achieve this goal, intra-operative imaging seems mandatory.

Method: Through a case report of a patient with symptomatic grade I lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis, we present the surgical tips for the implantation of BDYN dynamic stabilization system under the assistance of spinal navigation Surgivisio® 2D/3D.

Conclusion: The pedicular screw convergence, their placement in the pedicles, and the proper alignment of the BDYN system placed in neutral position are important steps of the surgery. Intra-operative spinal navigation helps achieving precise and safe positioning of the dynamic stabilization BDYN device taking optimal advantages of its biomechanical characteristics.

Context: DNAN/DNB cocrystals, as a newly developed type of energetic material, possess superior safety and thermal stability, making them a suitable alternative to traditional melt-cast explosives. Nonetheless, an exploration of the thermal degradation dynamics of the said cocrystal composite has heretofore remained uncharted. Consequently, we engaged the ReaxFF/lg force field modality to delve into the thermal dissociation processes of the DNAN/DNB cocrystal assembly across a spectrum of temperatures, encompassing 2500, 2750, 3000, 3250, and 3500 K.

In every heartbeat, cardiac muscle cells perform excitation-Ca signaling-contraction (EC) coupling to pump blood against the vascular resistance. Cardiomyocytes can sense the mechanical load and activate mechano-chemo-transduction (MCT) mechanism, which provides feedback regulation of EC coupling. MCT feedback is important for the heart to upregulate contraction in response to increased load to maintain cardiac output.

Studying genetic variability through the phenotypic performance of genotypes is crucial in the breeding program. Therefore, evaluating both yield performance and stability across diverse environments is essential in yield trials to identify high-yield potential and stable cultivars. In this study, we employed 12 univariate and 10 multivariate stability models to analyze how genotype (G), environment (E), and their interaction (G × E) affect the yield performance of 32 barley genotypes across 10 environments.

Influence of drought stress on phosphorus dynamics and maize growth in tropical ecosystems.

Center for Eco-Environment Restoration of Hainan Province, School of Ecology, Hainan University, Haikou, 570228, China.

Drought has a significant impact on ecosystem functions, especially on the biogeochemical cycling of phosphorus (P), which is a crucial nutrient for plant growth and productivity. Despite its importance, the effects of different drought scenarios on soil P cycling and availability remain poorly understood in previous studies. This study simulated drought conditions in tropical soils using maize as a test crop under varying field capacity (FC) levels (100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20%) over a 60-day pot experiment.

To enhance high-frequency perceptual information and texture details in remote sensing images and address the challenges of super-resolution reconstruction algorithms during training, particularly the issue of missing details, this paper proposes an improved remote sensing image super-resolution reconstruction model. The generator network of the model employs multi-scale convolutional kernels to extract image features and utilizes a multi-head self-attention mechanism to dynamically fuse these features, significantly improving the ability to capture both fine details and global information in remote sensing images. Additionally, the model introduces a multi-stage Hybrid Transformer structure, which processes features at different resolutions progressively, from low resolution to high resolution, substantially enhancing reconstruction quality and detail recovery.
