Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and equipment heat dissipation problems are becoming increasingly prominent in advanced applications such as modern wireless communications, driverless cars, and portable devices. Multifunctional composites with efficient energy storage, conversion, and microwave absorption are urgently needed. We reported an effective strategy to construct attapulgite (ATP), carbon nanotubes (CNT), and NiCo alloys composite mineral microspheres (ACNC). Urchin-like TiO was coated on the surface of ACNC to form composite microspheres (ACNCT), which was compounded with paraffin (P-ACNCT) to prepare thermal energy storage and microwave absorption integrated material. The urchin-like TiO morphology possesses unique advantages in encapsulating paraffin. The results show that the melting and solidification enthalpy of the P-ACNCT reaches 111.6 J/g and 108.1 J/g, respectively, which indicates excellent thermal energy storage capacity. Combining a dielectric TiO shell with a magnetic composite microsphere core can produce a core-shell microsphere mechanism that allows for adjustable reflection loss and promotes impedance matching. The effective microwave absorption bandwidth of P-ACNCT can reach 5.76 GHz when the thickness is only 1.6 mm in the 2-18 GHz range. P-ACNCT is significant for synchronous microwave absorption and thermal energy regulation of advanced electronic equipment.

In the present study, dispersive solid phase extraction - hydride generation integrated with micro-sampling gas-liquid separator - flame atomic absorption spectrometry was proposed to determine lead in lake water samples taken in the Horseshoe Island, Antarctica. In scope of this study, microwave assisted NiFeO nanoparticles were synthesized, and the characterization of nanoparticles were carried out by FT-IR, XRD and SEM. All influential parameters of dispersive solid phase extraction and hydride generation were optimized to enhance signal intensity belonging to the analyte.

The integration, miniaturization, and high frequency of microwave vacuum electronics put forward higher requirements for heat-conducting and wave-absorbing integrated materials. However, these materials must balance the dispersion and isolation of wave-absorbing components to optimize absorption while maintaining the continuity of thermal conductivity pathways with low defect rates and minimal interfaces. This presents a significant challenge in achieving both high thermal conductivity and efficient wave absorption simultaneously.

This study introduces a sustainable approach for enhancing the fire retardancy and smoke suppression of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) composites, contributing to addressing one of the major challenges in biocomposites that limits their application in various engineering fields, as automotive and construction sectors. Flax fibers (FF) were surface functionalized with a novel organic-inorganic hybrid flame retardant (FR), offering a sustainable bioinspired approach that mitigates potential mechanical properties impairment and FR leaching, which can cause environmental concerns and reduced composite durability. The process involves a three-step coating procedure.
