We present the case of a 22-year-old male patient who developed "double" pseudoaneurysm of the superficial palmar arch of the left hand after trivial trauma with a kitchen knife. Following an unsuccessful embolization attempt, surgical excision of the pseudoaneurysm was performed during which the pseudoaneurysm was found to arise from the anterior wall of the palmar arch. Intraoperatively, a second pseudoaneurysm arising from the deeper surface of the superficial palmar arch was found and excised. This is probably the only reported case of double pseudoaneurysm of the palmar arch in literature. The possible mechanism of arterial injury, diagnosis, and management is discussed.

Introduction: There exist conflicting electrodiagnostic reports between diagnosing mild carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and normal results, depending on the interpretation methods used by electrodiagnosticians. This underscores the necessity for precise clinical guidelines. This study aims to assess how the variation between mild and normal electrophysiological reports impacts (1) subsequent clinical outcomes in patients diagnosed with CTS and (2) physicians' decision-making.

January 2025

Abteilung für Plastische und Handchirurgie UniversitätsCentrum für Orthopädie, Unfall- & Plastische Chirurgie, Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus an der Technischen Universität Dresden, Dresden, Germany.

Background: Kirner deformity is a rare anomaly of the little finger in adolescents, characterized by a deformity of the distal phalanx and a radiologically L-shaped epiphysis, along with palmar and radial angulation of the distal phalanx. Due to the rarity of these pathological findings, there are no systematic literature reviews available. This work serves as an overview of the clinical presentation, frequency and age distributions, as well as possible conservative and surgical treatment options.

Objective: This study explored the surgical technique and clinical application of the dorsal metacarpal cutaneous branch flap of the radial digital artery of the index finger.

Methods: Through the anatomical dissection of 10 hand specimens, we examined the origin and characteristics of the artery and its branches towards the hand dorsum. Furthermore, the soft tissue defects of the index finger in 12 patients admitted to our hospital between 2017 and 2021 were surgically repaired using the dorsal metacarpal cutaneous branch flap of the radial digital artery of the index finger.

We present a case of arterial bypass for extensive stenosis of the ulnar artery and superficial palmar arch. The ulnar artery and the superficial palmar arch were bypassed using the great saphenous vein. Postoperatively, blood flow to the affected fingers gradually improved and the pain disappeared.

Several studies have looked into the effectiveness of bleomycin treatment for warts using various injection methods, such as intralesional injection, multiple puncture technique, jet injection, and moonlet needle prick method, in various concentrations and doses. However, injection methods have been linked to acute pain and bleeding. The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy of microneedling combination with topical bleomycin and cryotherapy in the treatment of resistant warts on the hands and feet.
