This study aimed to investigate the gas chromatographic properties and mass spectrometric fragmentations of anabolic androgenic steroids (AASs) after trimethylsilylated derivatization. A total of 113 AASs were analyzed through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in the full-scan mode. New fragmentation pathways yielding 129, 143 and 169 ions were analyzed. Based on the characteristics of the A-ring, seven classes of drugs were identified and analyzed. The fragmentation pathway of a new classification of 4-en-3-hydroxyl was reported for the first time. The relationship between the chemical structures of AASs and their retention time, along with their molecular ion peak abundance, was also reported herein for the first time.

In the current investigation, the efficiency inhibition of two newly synthesized bi-pyrazole derivatives, namely 2,3-bis[(bis((1 H-pyrazol-1-yl) methyl) amino)] pyridine (Tetra-Pz-Ortho) and 1,4-bis[(bis((1 H-pyrazol-1-yl) methyl) amino)] benzene (Tetra-Pz-Para) for corrosion of carbon steel (C&S) in 1 M HCl medium was evaluated. A Comparative study of inhibitor effect of Tetra-Pz-Ortho and Tetra-Pz-Para was conducted first using weight loss method and EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) and PDP (Potentiodynamic Polarisation) techniques. Tetra-Pz-Ortho and Tetra-Pz-Para had a maximum inhibition efficacy of 97.

Myelomeningocele (MMC) is a congenital defect of the spine characterized by meningeal and spinal cord protrusion through open vertebral archs, and its exposure to the amniotic fluid. Given that the progression of neuronal loss begins early in fetal life, an early coverage of the defect is required to improve the neurological outcomes. Several studies have proposed patches as an alternative to full surgical repair, to achieve an early protection of the spine and possibly reduce the rate of complications of current prenatal surgical procedures.

Electronic address:

Regenerated cellulose is extensively utilized as a natural polymer due to its actually natural piezoelectric properties as well as renewable properties, but suffers from processing difficulties and low piezoelectric constants (d). Consequently, this work focuses on controlling the molecular weight of regenerated cellulose through pretreatment methods that promote the growth of in situ ZnO to enhance its d. Firstly, the acid-catalyzed pulp fibers (PF) and zinc nitrate hexahydrate were added in NaOH/urea solvent to effectively prepare RC/ZnO composite film via regeneration and in-situ growth.
