Introduction: We present the first worldwide use of pulsed-field ablation (PFA) for ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation via a retrograde approach.
Methods: The patient had previously failed conventional ablation of an intramural circuit underneath the aortic valve. The same VT circuit was inducible during the procedure. The Farawave PFA catheter and Faradrive sheath were used to deliver PFA applications.
Results: Post ablation mapping demonstrated scar homogenization. There was no evidence of coronary spasm during PFA applications and no other complications occurred. VT was non-inducible post ablation and the patient has remained free of arrhythmia at follow-up.
Conclusion: PFA for VT via a retrograde approach is feasible and effective.

Salmonella is one of the most common foodborne pathogens. Antimicrobial-resistant Salmonella isolates, especially those resistant to colistin, pose a significant threat to public health worldwide. However, data about the prevalence of mcr-positive Salmonella in animals was few and the dissemination of mcr-positive Salmonella from animals to food, especially eggs, has not been fully addressed.

Various ablation technologies with different energy sources are currently being either used or being investigated for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. Potential complications continue to occur due to the indiscriminate thermal effects on non-targeted tissues adjacent to the myocardium that are common to all thermal ablation modalities. Pulsed field ablation (PFA) has recently gained significant attention and interest as an approach to AF ablation.

Importance: outbreaks linked to poultry meat have been reported continuously worldwide. Therefore, contamination of poultry meats in slaughterhouses is one of the critical control points for reducing disease outbreaks in humans.
Objective: This study examined the carry-over contamination of species through the entire slaughtering process in South Korea.
