The traditional parameter estimation methods for photovoltaic (PV) module are strictly limited by the reference standards. On the basis of the double diode model (DDM), this paper proposes a modified PV module that is independent of the reference conditions and can be used for the transformation and reconfiguration of PV module. With respect to the issue of the slow convergence precision and the tendency to trap in the local extremum of the QUATRE algorithm, this research incorporates the QUATRE algorithm with recombination mechanism (RQUATRE) to tackle the problem of parameter estimation for the improved PV modules described above. Simulation data show that the RQUATRE wins 29, 29, 21, 17 and 15 times with the FMO, PIO, QUATRE, PSO and GWO algorithms on the CEC2017 test suite. In addition, in a modified PV module for the parameter extraction problem, the final experimental results achieved a value of 2.99 × 10 at RMSE, all better than the accuracy values of the compared algorithms. In the fitting process of IAE, the final values are also all less than 10%, which can satisfy the fitting needs.

Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) models require parameter tuning for their design and performance improvement. In this study, Depth Information-Based Differential Evolution (Di-DE) algorithm, a novel and efficient metaheuristic approach, is applied to the complex, nonlinear optimization problem of PEMFC parameter estimation. The Di-DE algorithm was tested on twelve PEMFCs (BCS 500 W PEMFC, Nedstack 600 W PS6 PEMFC, SR-12 500 W PEMFC, H-12 PEMFC, STD 250 W PEMFC, HORIZON 500 W PEMFC and four 250W PEMFC and two H-12 12W PEMFC) and showed excellent accuracy.

Bipedal locomotion was a major functional change during hominin evolution, yet, our understanding of this gradual and complex process remains strongly debated. Based on fossil discoveries, it is possible to address functional hypotheses related to bipedal anatomy, however, motor control remains intangible with this approach. Using comparative models which occasionally walk bipedally has proved to be relevant to shed light on the evolutionary transition toward habitual bipedalism.

Introduction: Quantum cloning operation, started with no-go theorem which proved that there is no capability to perform a cloning operation on an unknown quantum state, however, a number of trials proved that we can make approximate quantum state cloning that is still with some errors.
Objectives: To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first of its kind to attempt using meta-heuristic algorithm such as Adaptive Guided Differential Evolution (AGDE), to tackle the problem of quantum cloning circuit parameters to enhance the cloning fidelity.
Methods: To investigate the effectiveness of the AGDE, the extensive experiments have demonstrated that the AGDE can achieve outstanding performance compared to other well-known meta-heuristics including; Enhanced LSHADE-SPACMA Algorithm (ELSHADE-SPACMA), Enhanced Differential Evolution algorithm with novel control parameter adaptation (PaDE), Improved Multi-operator Differential Evolution Algorithm (IMODE), Parameters with adaptive learning mechanism (PALM), QUasi-Affine TRansformation Evolutionary algorithm (QUATRE), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA), Cuckoo Search (CS), Bat-inspired Algorithm (BA), Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), and Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA).

Acoustic event detection and analysis has been widely developed in the last few years for its valuable application in monitoring elderly or dependant people, for surveillance issues, for multimedia retrieval, or even for biodiversity metrics in natural environments. For this purpose, sound source identification is a key issue to give a smart technological answer to all the aforementioned applications. Diverse types of sounds and variate environments, together with a number of challenges in terms of application, widen the choice of artificial intelligence algorithm proposal.
