Mentalizing involves a number of psychological processes designed to appraise self and others from different points of view. Factors affecting the flexibility in the ability to switch between self-other appraisals and perspectives remain yet unclear. In this study, we sought to (1) assess individual variability in processing and switching between self and other-oriented mental representations and perspectives in a sample of typically developing youths; (2) examine how age and executive functioning may affect this switching process.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic had an important psychological impact on children and their families. This study aims to explore paediatric health services users' perceptions of quality of care (QOC) and COVID-19-related fears, and their evolution over time in relation to COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: In a multicentre cross-sectional study involving 11 public hospitals providing paediatric care across the Italian territory, we collected data from services users through a validated questionnaire.

Background: There is an increasing public, societal and policy imperative for effective integration of healthcare delivery systems. Central to integration in healthcare is a focus on people-centred health, access, patient empowerment, interprofessional teamwork and collaboration between all healthcare stakeholders - difficult to achieve in current silo-driven bureaucratic health organisations. Therefore, actor-network theory (ANT) offers a theoretical approach to understanding the complexities of healthcare delivery by unpacking the type of actor's interplay between social elements and immaterial objects, their interactions, interdependencies and power dynamics.

Research highlights the positive impact of social connectedness on subjective well-being. In this paper, we test a model in which an identity-based mechanism links a structural form of connectedness (significant social ties) with two psychological well-being outcomes, life satisfaction and self-esteem. Using data from the LIVES Longitudinal Lausanne Youth Study (LIVES-LOLYS, = 422), a longitudinal mediation path model tests direct and indirect effects, via the strength of social identification, of the number of significant social ties in two life domains (friends and family) on life satisfaction and self-esteem.
