Positive allometry of signalling traits has often been taken as evidence for sexual selection. However, few studies have explored interspecific differences in allometric scaling relationships among closely related species that vary in their degree of ecological similarity. lizards possess an elaborate retractable throat fan called a dewlap that is used for visual communication and differs greatly in size and colour among species. We observed that dewlaps demonstrate positive allometry: relative dewlap size increases with body size. We also observed that coexisting species are divergent in signal size allometries, while convergent species-similar in other aspects of ecology, morphology and behaviour-typically share similar dewlap allometric scaling relationships. These patterns suggest that dewlap scaling relationships may follow the same pattern as other traits in the anole radiation, where ecologically different sympatric species have evolved a suite of divergent traits.

Anxiety and depression disorders show high prevalence rates, and stress is a significant risk factor for both. However, studies investigating the interplay between anxiety, depression, and stress regulation in the brain are scarce. The present manuscript included 124 law students from the LawSTRESS project.

Conductive metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are crystalline, intrinsically porous materials that combine remarkable electrical conductivity with exceptional structural and chemical versatility. This rare combination makes these materials highly suitable for a wide range of energy-related applications. However, the electrical conductivity in MOF-based devices is often limited by the presence of different types of structural disorder.

Precisely controlling quantum states is relevant in next-generation quantum computing, encryption, and sensing. Chiral organic chromophores host unique light-matter interactions, which allow them to manipulate the quantized circular polarization of photons. Axially chiral organic scaffolds, such as helicenes or twisted acenes, are powerful motifs in chiral light manipulation.

Aims: Few studies have explored empowerment as a predictor of mental health outcomes in geriatric healthcare professionals. This research addresses this gap by using the 'effort-reward imbalance' theory of work-related stress to develop a comprehensive model, examining the role of psychological empowerment in the psychological outcomes of nursing home professionals.
Design: This cross-sectional exploratory study used structural equation modelling (SEM) to test a model on the mediating role of psychological empowerment in the relationship between effort-reward ratio and burnout, anxiety and depression.

This study aimed to assess post-earthquake trauma levels in adults and explore the relationship between trauma, sleep disorders, dietary habits, and emotional eating. Conducted with 708 adults using snowball sampling, the study utilized the PROMIS Sleep Disturbance Scale, the Post-earthquake Trauma Level Determination Scale, and the Feeding Your Feelings: Emotional Eating Scale. Results revealed that factors such as gender, exposure to earthquake-related content on social media, time spent on social media before sleep, losing a loved one, and emotional eating tendencies significantly influenced trauma levels (Adj.
