Introduction: Spontaneous pneumocephalus following ventriculoperitoneal shunting is a very unique complication, seen in a handful of patients. Small bony defects form as a result of chronically raised intracranial pressure, which can later lead to pneumocephalus once intracranial pressure decreases following ventriculoperitoneal shunting.

Case Report: Here, we present a case of a 15-year-old girl with NF1 who presented to us with pneumocephalus 10 months following shunting and our management strategy along with a literature review of this condition.

Conclusion: NF1 & hydrocephalus can lead to skull base erosion, which needs to be looked up before proceeding with VP shunting to avoid delayed onset pneumocephalus. SOKHA with the opening of LT is a minimally invasive approach suitable to tackle both problems simultaneously.

Introduction: Implementation of clinical practice guidelines, an important strategy in the prevention of pressure injuries, enables the nurse to interpret evidence-based guideline recommendations, reduce errors, ensure compliance and standardisation of complex processes, manage patient-related risks and systematically regulate all preventable conditions.

Objective: This study was conducted to ensure the Turkish language and content validity of the Standardised Pressure Injury Prevention Protocol (SPIPP- Adult) Checklist 2.0.

Accurate characterisation of seismic source mechanisms in mining environments is crucial for effective hazard mitigation, but it is complicated by the presence of anisotropic geological conditions. Neglecting anisotropic effects during moment tensor (MT) inversion introduces significant distortions in the retrieved source characteristics. In this study, we investigated the impact of ignoring anisotropy during MT inversion on the reliability of hazard assessment.

Medical devices (MDs) play a critical role in healthcare delivery while also bringing potential medical risks and unintended harms to patients. Although government regulation is well recognized as a critical and essential function for ensuring the safety of MDs in many countries, the supplementary role that hospitals play is often neglected. This paper constructs a tripartite evolutionary game model involving the government, hospitals, and MDs enterprises to explore their strategic behaviors of MDs regulation in healthcare delivery.

Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is an endogenous anti-inflammatory mediator that modulates the inflammatory response and promotes inflammation resolution. RvD1 has demonstrated neuroprotective effects in various central nervous system contexts; however, its role in the pathophysiological processes of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and the potential protective mechanisms when combined with exercise rehabilitation remain unclear. A mouse model of ICH was established using collagenase, and treatment with RvD1 combined with three weeks of exercise rehabilitation significantly improved neurological deficits, muscle strength, learning, and memory in ICH mice while reducing anxiety-like behavior.

The presence of antibiotics in the environment is of significant concern due to their adverse effects on aquatic ecosystems. This study provides an assessment of potential ecological risks (RQ) associated with the concentrations of eight antibiotics and antiparasitics (amoxicillin-AMO, azithromycin-AZI, ciprofloxacine-CIP, ofloxacine-OFL, oxfendazole-OXF, lincomycin-LIN, sulfacetamide-SCE and sulfamethoxazole-SME) in the surface water of 13 urban lakes in Hanoi city, Vietnam during the period 2021-2023. The findings revealed considerable variations in the total concentrations of these 8 substances (T), ranging from below the method detection limit (< MDL) to 2240 ng L with an average of 330.
