Background: Pancreatic cystic lesions (PCLs) are frequently detected incidentally and vary from benign to malignant. Accurate differentiation between mucinous (M-PCLs) and non-mucinous PCLs (NM-PCLs) is essential for appropriate management. This study aims to validate the accuracy of on-site glucose measurement using a glucometer with a cut-off of 50 mg/dL for distinguishing M-PCLs from NM-PCLs.

Postoperative pain management in patients undergoing thoracoabdominal surgery always remains challenging for the anesthesiologist. As a method of pain management, multimodal analgesia is commonly used. In recent years, interfascial plane blocks like erector spine plane block (ESPB), retrolaminar block (RLB), transverse thoracic plane block, and pectointercostal plane block have been increasingly utilized as important components of acute postoperative pain management in truncal surgeries.

Background: In the context of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma (OPSCC), preoperative imaging and intraoperative visualization plays a pivotal role in optimizing resection margins. Prior work has demonstrated the ability of transoral ultrasound (US) in identifying OPSCC margins and vascular structures. This study evaluates the effectiveness of transcervical ultrasound (TUS), as well as other preoperative imaging modalities, in evaluating OPSCC volumes and compares this to post TORS pathological OPSCC volumes.
