This article explored the specific mechanism by which ginsenoside Rg_1 regulates cellular autophagy to attenuate hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R) injury in HL-1 cardiomyocytes through the microRNA155(miR-155)/neurogenic gene Notch homologous protein 1(Notch1)/hairy and enhancer of split 1(Hes1) pathway. An HL-1 cell model with H/R injury was constructed, and ginsenoside Rg_1 and/or Notch1 inhibitor DAPT and miR-155 mimics were used to treat cells. Cell counting kit(CCK)-8 was used to detect the relative viability of HL-1 cells with H/R injury.

The aim of this study was to investigate the underlying mechanism of chrysophanol(Chr) in reducing inflammation and foam cell formation induced by oxidized low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL) and to investigate the targets and pathways related to effects of Chr on coronary atherosclerosis, providing a theoretical basis for the development of new clinical drugs. RAW264.7 macrophages were cultured in vitro, and after determining the appropriate concentrations of Chr and ox-LDL for treating RAW264.

This study aims to investigate the effect of Linggui Zhugan Decoction(LGZGD) on autophagy in the mouse model of chronic heart failure(CHF) induced by myocardial infarction(MI), as well as the regulatory effect of LGZGD on the hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)/heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) signaling pathway, based on bioinformatics and animal experiments. The active ingredients and corresponding targets of LGZGD were retrieved from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology and Analysis Database, and GEO, GeneCards, and DisGeNET were searched for the disease targets. Cytoscape was used to establish a "drug-component-target" network.

Microtubule-severing enzymes play essential roles in regulating diverse cellular processes, including mitosis and cytokinesis, by modulating microtubule dynamics. In the early branching protozoan parasite , microtubule-severing enzymes are involved in cytokinesis and flagellum length control during different life cycle stages, but none of them have been found to regulate mitosis in any life cycle form. Here, we report the biochemical and functional characterization of the microtubule-severing enzyme spastin in the procyclic form of .

Unlabelled: The centromere is a part of the chromosome that is essential for the even segregation of duplicated chromosomes during cell division. It is epigenetically defined by the presence of the histone H3 variant CENP-A. CENP-A associates specifically with a group of 16 proteins that form the centromere-associated network of proteins (CCAN).
