Background: This study aims to understand whether and how participant characteristics (age, gender, education, ethnocultural identity) are related to their feedback about taking a remote, unsupervised, online cognitive assessment.
Methods: The Brain Health Registry is a public online registry which includes cognitive assessments. Multivariable ordinal regressions assessed associations between participant characteristics and feedback responses of older (55+) participants (N=11,553) regarding their Cogstate Brief Battery assessment experience.
Results: Higher age, secondary education or less, Latino identity, and female gender were associated with a poorer assessment experience; higher age and a non-White identity were associated with experiencing the assessment instructions as less clear; and higher age, non-White identity, and secondary education or less were associated with rating additional human support with the assessment as more useful.
Discussion: Our findings highlight the importance of improving the design and instructions of unsupervised, remote, online cognitive assessments to better suit the needs of diverse communities.

Background: Primary luminal breast cancer cells lose their identity rapidly in standard tissue culture, which is problematic for testing hormone interventions and molecular pathways specific to the luminal subtype. Breast cancer organoids are thought to retain tumor characteristics better, but long-term viability of luminal-subtype cases is a persistent challenge. Our goal was to adapt short-term organoids of luminal breast cancer for parallel testing of genetic and pharmacologic perturbations.

Background: Idiopathic CD4+ T lymphocytopenia is a rare immune dysfunction disease that is usually found after opportunistic infections. Mycobacterium abscessus is a rapidly growing mycobacterium that can cause pulmonary infections, lymphadenitis, skin and soft tissue infections, disseminated infections, among others, as a conditional pathogenic bacterium.
Case Presentation: We present the case of a 43-year-old Chinese woman who developed disseminated Mycobacterium abscessus infection due to idiopathic CD4+ T lymphocytopenia.

Background: Perianal fistula is one of the complications of deepened anal fissure. The present case-control study aimed to assess the risk factors of fissure-associated fistulas due to the limited available evidence.
Methods: Patients with fissure-associated fistulas were considered as case, and patients with anal fissure who were undergoing medical treatment without any previous anorectal surgeries were considered as control group.

Background: DNA damage tolerance (DDT) enables replication to continue in the presence of fork stalling lesions. In mammalian cells, DDT is regulated by two independent pathways, controlled by the polymerase REV1 and ubiquitinated PCNA, respectively.
Results: To determine the molecular and genomic impact of a global DDT defect, we studied Pcna;Rev1 compound mutants in mouse cells.

Background: There are limited and controversial findings concerning ovulation induction using intrauterine and intramuscular human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) injection compared to intramuscular hCG alone. The study aimed to examine the impact of intrauterine hCG injection, which is used to induce ovulation, on the efficacy of the intrauterine insemination (IUI) technique in patients with unexplained infertility.
Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted involving 80 subjects with unexplained primary infertility at the infertility clinic of Al-Zahra Hospital in northwest Iran.
