Background: Recent studies show that M1 macrophages accumulate predominantly in non-eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (neCRSwNP). However, the precise mechanisms regulating M1 macrophages and their impact on the epithelial barrier remain unclear.
Objective: We aim to investigate the expression and regulatory role of SLAMF8, a molecule exclusively expressed in myeloid cells, in M1 macrophage polarization and its potential contribution to neCRSwNP development.

Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a common inflammatory disease of the paranasal sinuses with a yet unknown etiology. As studies continue to elucidate the disease's heterogeneity inflammatory profile and presentation, there is a growing interest in the influence of the nasal microbiome on disease pathogenesis and chronicity. The sinus microbiota appear dominated by the and genera; known upper airway pathogens, such as , are present in the upper airways of healthy individuals, though at relatively lower abundances than in CRS patients.

Background: Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is characterized by a type 2 pattern of inflammation. Mepolizumab was approved for the treatment of CRSwNP in 2021. However, there is a lack of real-life studies.

Introduction: Systemic inflammatory and nutritional markers are associated with the prognosis of various cancers. However, their association with sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma (SNSCC) prognosis remains unclear. This study aimed to identify systemic inflammatory and nutritional markers associated with the postoperative prognosis of patients with SNSCC and to clarify the clinical value of these markers.

Background: Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a complex immunological disease associated with significant morbidity and reduced health-related quality of life. Dupilumab is an anti-T2-inflammatory biological drug registered for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, indicated by integrated care pathways when optimal medico-surgical treatment yields insufficient control of sinonasal symptoms.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to confirm the long-term efficacy of dupilumab in the treatment of severe uncontrolled CRSwNP.
