Background: Current biological research extensively describes the interactions of molecules such as RNA with other nucleic acids or proteins. However, the relatively recent discovery of nuclear phospholipids playing biologically relevant processes outside membranes, as well as, RNA-lipid interactions shows the need for new methods to explore the identity of these RNAs.
Methods And Results: In this study, we describe the method for LIPID-RNA isolation followed by sequencing and analysis of the RNA that has the ability to interact with the selected lipids. Here we utilized specific phospholipid coated beads for selective RNA binding. We tested RNA from organisms belonging to different realms (human, plant, and yeast), and tested their ability to bind a specific lipid.
Conclusions: The results show several RNAs differentially enriched in the pull-down of phosphatidyl Inositol 4,5 bisphosphate coated beads. This method is helpful to screen lipid-binding RNA, which may have relevant biological functions. The method can be used with different lipids and comparison of pull-downs and can narrow the selection of RNAs that interact with a particular lipid for further studies.

Nocturnal asthma (NA) is a high-prevalence disease that causes severe respiratory issues, leading to death from early midnight to early morning. In this research, nanoparticulate drug delivery system of methylprednisolone (MP) was developed using chitosan (CH) and pectin (PEC). MP is a synthetic corticosteroid medication widely used for its potent anti-inflammatory activity.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of acute respiratory tract infections in infants and elderly individuals, leading to hospitalisation and potentially fatal outcomes, posing a serious threat to global health and economy. This study proposes a smartphone-based mobile digital pressure sensor (smartphone-MDPS) for the quantitative detection of the RSV fusion protein (RSV-F) in clinical nasopharyngeal samples. The smartphone-MDPS utilized two monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) specific to the F protein, of which mAb1 was conjugated with Au@PtNPs (Au@PtNPs-mAb1) as the detection antibody and mAb2 was coupled with magnetic beads (MB-mAb2) as a coating antibody to establish a novel sandwich immunoassay.

Early detection of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is crucial for eliminating this silent killer, especially in resource-limited settings. HCV core antigen (HCVcAg) represents a promising alternative to the current "gold standard" HCV RNA assays as an active viremia biomarker. Herein, a highly sensitive electrochemical magneto-immunosensor for the HCVcAg was developed.

Introduction: T cell Antigen Coupler (TAC) T cells harness all signaling subunits of endogenous T cell receptor (TCR) to trigger T-cell activation and tumor cell lysis, with minimal release of cytokines. Some of the major obstacles to cellular immunotherapy in solid tumors include inefficient cell infiltration into tumors, lack of prolonged cellular persistence, and therapy-associated toxicity.
Methods: To boost the cytotoxic potential of TAC-T cells against solid tumors, we generated a novel NECTIN-4-targeted TAC-T variant, NECTIN-4 TAC28-T, which integrated the co-stimulatory CD28 cytoplasmic region, and compared the anti-tumor activities between NECTIN-4 TAC-T cells and NECTIN-4 TAC28-T cells in vitro and vivo.
