Introduction: The diagnostic accuracy of gastric ultrasound in children has not been assessed thoroughly. We aimed to determine the sensitivity and specificity in children of a qualitative ultrasound examination of the gastric antrum in the supine 45° semi-recumbent position and a clinical algorithm for detecting a gastric fluid volume > 1.25 ml.

Objectives: Radiotherapy manages pancreatic cancer in various settings; however, the proximity of gastrointestinal (GI) luminal organs-at-risk (OAR) poses challenges to conventional radiotherapy. Proton beam therapy (PBT) may reduce toxicities compared to photon therapy. This consensus statement summarizes PBT's safe and optimal delivery for pancreatic tumors.

Background And Objectives: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a well-established intervention for alleviating both motor and nonmotor symptoms of Parkinson disease. However, a common complication of stereotaxic DBS surgery is pneumocephalus, which can compromise electrode accuracy, complicate postoperative assessments, and negatively affect the long-term outcomes of DBS surgery. This report proposes a comprehensive and robust set of recommendations aimed at optimizing DBS surgical protocols to achieve zero pneumocephalus outcomes.

Purpose: Worsening sagittal alignment of the spine, particularly kyphosis, may cause difficulty in assuming a supine position, restricting sleeping posture and movement and potentially leading to sleep disturbances. However, no studies have explored the relationship between sagittal spinal alignment and sleep disturbance.
