Objective: The aims of this study were to determine whether zinc supplementation affects botulinum toxin's effect and longevity and to establish a transition from the molecular to the clinical aspect.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review in which we included all published studies on PubMed and Embase using the combination of the following terms: "zinc" AND (botox OR botulinum OR onabotulinumtoxinA OR abobotulinumtoxinA OR incobotulinumtoxinA).
Results: From the 260 yielded articles, 3 randomized control trials and 1 case report were retained. Three of them found a significant improvement with zinc supplementation in the toxin's effect and longevity. This was observed in neurological conditions and cosmetic uses.
Conclusions: Zinc supplementation could be an interesting asset in the potentialization of botulinum neurotoxin effect and longevity. Larger clinical trials and objective measurement tools should be used to further defining the role of zinc in maximizing botulinum neurotoxin effect.

Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) occurs in the advanced stage of peripheral artery disease and is associated with high risks of mortality and amputation. Universal management strategies are not always applicable, owing to population diversity, and the Western trials may not be applicable to Japanese patients, owing to differences in demographics and clinical profiles. This paper examines the outcomes of revascularization in Japanese CLTI patients and emphasizes the benefits of tailored management.

Pharmaceutical supplementation and dietary fortification are the most common approaches to reducing vitamin deficits. To improve the health and nutritional value of crops, agronomic biofortification necessitates the direct application of nutrients. Producers using micronutrient fertilizers to increase the fortification of crops are essential to the success of biofortification.

Zinc is one of the elements that play a part in insulin secretion and signaling. Therefore, this study seeks the answer to the following question: "What are the effects of 220 mg zinc sulfate supplementation on the weight, blood pressure, and glycemic control of patients with Type 2 diabetes?".

More than 90% of spermatozoa of boars in pork producing countries is stored in liquid at 17 °C; however, the quality of these spermatozoa is affected by bacterial breeding and oxidative damage. This study analyzed sperm quality and sperm capacitation after storage to study the effects of the effects of ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) supplementation on seminal plasma (SP)-free sperm preservation. We investigated the effects of adding 20, 50, 100 and 200 μg/mL of ZnO NPs to a seminal free boar sperm diluent over a 7-day period at 17 °C to assess the changes in non-capacitated/capacitated sperm quality parameters, antioxidant capacity, ATP content and extent of protein tyrosine phosphorylation.

The management of micronutrients, such as boron (B) and zinc (Zn), is critical for plant growth and crop yields. One method of rapid intervention crop management to mitigate nutritional deficiency is the foliar supply of B and Zn. Our study investigates the effect of foliar-supplied B and Zn availability on the global transcriptional modulation in soybean (Glycine max).
