Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells, a type of T lymphocytes with innate-like characteristics, are crucial in bridging innate and adaptive immunity. When activated, MAIT cells release various inflammatory molecules and swiftly respond to antigens. Notably, numerous studies highlight the significant impact of MAIT cells on tumors and various immune disorders by influencing the immune microenvironment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess and compare the efficacy of Erich Arch Bar (EAB), Inter Maxillary Fixation (IMF) screws and SMART Lock Hybrid arch bar (HABs) in the treatment of mandibular fractures.
Materials And Methods: A prospective randomized clinical study was carried out in the Department of Dentistry at ESIC Hospital in Hyderabad from August 2021 to August 2023. The study comprised of three groups (EAB group (31), IMF screw group (33) and HABs group (29)).

Vulvo-vaginal-oral lichen planus (VVO-LP) is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, skin, and genital areas. The exact etiology remains unclear, although immune-mediated mechanisms are considered likely contributors. It is a rare form of lichen planus, which typically presents in adults and is more common in middle-aged women.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) originates from the mucosal epithelium of the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx, and is marked by high rates of recurrence and metastasis. Calcium signaling is associated with the progression of HNSCC and the development of drug resistance. Changes in calcium ion flow can trigger severe pathophysiological processes, including malignant transformation, tumor proliferation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and apoptosis evasion.
