Organic-inorganic hybrid materials often face a stability challenge. β-ZnTe(en) , which uniquely has over 15-year real-time degradation data, is taken as a prototype structure to demonstrate an accelerated thermal aging method for assessing the intrinsic and ambient-condition long-term stability of hybrid materials. Micro-Raman spectroscopy is used to investigate the thermal degradation of β-ZnTe(en) in a protected condition and in air by monitoring the temperature dependences of the intrinsic and degradation-product Raman modes. First, to understand the intrinsic degradation mechanism, the transition state of the degradation is identified, then using a density functional theory, the intrinsic energy barrier between the transition state and ground state is calculated to be 1.70 eV, in excellent agreement with the measured thermal degradation barrier of 1.62 eV in N environment. Second, for the ambient-condition degradation, a reduced thermal activation barrier of 0.92 eV is obtained due to oxidation, corresponding to a projected ambient half-life of 40 years at room temperature, in general agreement with the experimental observation of no apparent degradation over 15 years. Furthermore, the study reveals a mechanism, conformation distortion enhanced stability, which plays a pivotal role in forming the high kinetic barrier, contributing greatly to the impressive long-term stability of β-ZnTe(en) .

Introduction: are the most common cause of food poisoning, which manifests itself in diarrhoea of varying severity. Additionally, because of the increasing number of people with immune deficiencies, more frequent serious complications of infections are being observed. The main source of infection is the consumption of contaminated poultry meat, which is a consequence of the insufficiency of current hygiene and biosecurity to control or eliminate it from the poultry food chain.

Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) are widely studied for their potential in optoelectronic devices due to their unique semiconductor features. Porous HOIPs are extremely rare, with (APOSS)[CuCl] being one of the very few examples, featuring 12 Å pores within its lattice. Reed and coworkers (C.

The title compound is a germanium-based hybrid metal halide that represents a less-toxic alternative to more popular lead-based analogues in optoelectronic applications. {(2-ICHNH)[GeI]} is composed of infinite inorganic layers that are formed by [GeI] octa-hedra connected in a corner-sharing manner with four equatorial I atoms. The organic (2-ICHNH) cations inter-leave the inorganic layers.

Background: Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), and Fusarium wilt are three of tomatoes' most important viral and fungal diseases.
Methods And Results: In this study, the application of molecular markers associated with tomato yellow leaf curl virus resistance gene (Ty1), tomato mosaic virus resistance gene (Tm2), and Fusarium wilt resistance gene (I-1) (linked marker) were evaluated. In order to optimize and use SNP markers (by HRM diagnostic method) and SCAR markers, segregating populations of tomatoes were produced by self-pollination of commercial hybrid cultivars.

A polyethyleneimine (PEI)-assisted simple and efficient one-pot hydrothermal reduction method is reported to prepare high-quality gold nanodendrites (AuNDs) on a carbon nanotube (CNT) sheet. We observed that the prepared AuNDs have a well-defined backbone-multiple branching structure. With the systematical investigation of the growth mechanism, it was found that the bromide (Br) ion concentration has an essential effect on the formation of AuNDs.
