The COVID-19 pandemic increased poor lifestyles and worsen mental health: a systematic review.

Objective: The pandemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has drastically changed the daily lifestyle of people around the world. This paper aims to analyze and summarize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on poor lifestyles and mental health.

Materials And Methods: A comprehensive examination of the existing literature was conducted, wherein a description was provided regarding the poor lifestyles and mental health issues of individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Results: The available literature delineates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on unhealthy lifestyle patterns, which encompasses reduced physical activity, increased sedentary behavior, augmented screen time, disturbed work and sleep schedules, more smoking and alcohol consumption, and mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression.

Conclusions: It is imperative for both governments and individuals to be cognizant of the detrimental impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on lifestyle as well as physical and mental health. Prompt interventions must be implemented to address these issues.
