Background: The article aims to present the most popular methods of assessing physical capacity. Moreover, the article sheds light on the beneficial impact of improving physical capacity in people with Diabetes Mellitus type 1 (DM1).
Methods: A computer-based literature search of PubMed, SCOPUS and Web of Science included studies up to September 2022.
Results: The significant role of regular physical exertion could be observed in the group of people suffering from DM1, which implicates a positive correlation between the activity and the remission time. A suitable and objective indicator of sport influence on the organism is physical capacity (PC), which describes the efficiency of the cardiovascular system and its correlation between BMI, sex, and age. PC is mostly shown as VO. Well metabolically controlled DM1 is not a contraindication to stress test. Even though physical activity is closely related to human history, the range of research into the importance of PC is still limited to particular groups of patients, which presents an opportunity for further research and future conclusions.
Conclusions: Undertaking physical activities has a multidirectional influence on the organism. According to up-to-date knowledge, various methods of PC assessment are available. Patients can choose more easily accessible, simpler, and cheaper options like CRT, RT, and HST which do not need specialized equipment and skills. They can also decide on more advanced examinations like ergospirometry, where direct measurements of VO2max and other cardiorespiratory parameters are made.

Background: Health is the cornerstone of individual well-being and a vital factor in socioeconomic development. In an increasingly digitalized world, digital literacy has emerged as one of the indispensable abilities, which not only pertains to an individual's capacity to acquire, analyze, evaluate, and utilize information but also profoundly influences their health behaviours, health decisions, and overall well-being. This paper uses the 2020 China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) data to explore digital literacy's impact on individuals' health.

This study aimed to examine and compare the anthropometric profiles, motor skills, game-related abilities, and functional capacities of under-15 (U-15) and under-16 (U-16) male basketball players, evaluate the impact of maturity offset, and predict performance across physical and sport-specific domains. A total of 234 athletes participated in a comprehensive test battery, assessing morphological (height, mass, standing reach), physical (sprinting, agility, jump height, endurance), technical (jump shot, free throws, dribbling), and functional movement screen variables. The U-16 group outperformed U-15 players in physical characteristics and jump height.

The mycobacterial ABC transporter IrtAB features an ABC exporter fold, yet it imports iron-charged siderophores called mycobactins. Here, we present extensive cryo-EM analyses and DEER measurements, revealing that IrtAB alternates between an inward-facing and an outward-occluded conformation, but does not sample an outward-facing conformation. When IrtAB is locked in its outward-occluded conformation in nanodiscs, mycobactin is bound in the middle of the lipid bilayer at a membrane-facing crevice opening at the heterodimeric interface.

Nano-microplastics and 17β-E2 have been frequently detected as emerging high-concern pollutants in aquatic systems, and their interaction at the solid/liquid interface has become a research focus in environmental studies. The interfacial sorption kinetics and equilibrium characteristics of 17β-estradiol (17β-E2) on nano-polystyrene (Nano-PS) with different particle sizes and organic functional group modifications were systematically investigated in aqueous environments in this study. The interfacial interaction mechanism between Nano-PS particles and 17β-E2 was elucidated by utilizing SEM, FTIR, XPS and BET techniques.

Improving interfacial stability between cathode active material (CAM) and solid electrolyte (SE) is vital for developing high-performance all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs), with compatibility issues among the cell components representing a major challenge. CAM surface coating with a chemically inert ion conductor is a promising approach to suppress side reactions occurring at the cathode interfaces. Another strategy to mitigate mechanical degradation involves utilizing single-crystalline particle morphologies.
