Introduction: Intrauterine transfusion is the treatment for fetal anemia resulting from maternal alloimmunization, infections (parvovirus B19 and cytomegalovirus), single demise of a monochorionic twin, chorioangioma, and other rare conditions. Fetal analgesia is mandatory to reduce movement and pain perception during the procedure. This study aims to evaluate perinatal outcomes for such procedures, following the routine use of fetal analgesia in our clinical practice.

Introduction: Canine Parvovirus 2 (CPV-2) infection poses a significant global health risk to susceptible dogs. Hypocobalaminemia, defined as reduced serum cobalamin (CBL) concentrations, is a recognized complication in chronic enteropathies in adult dogs but remains poorly understood in the context of acute enteropathies, especially in young dogs. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency and severity of hypocobalaminemia in young dogs with parvovirus enteritis and evaluation of CBL as a predictor of outcome.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, two further novel viral epidemics were described in 2022, monkeypox virus infections in men having sex with men and non-A to E hepatitis in children. The latter occurred in the first half of 2022 with about 1000 cases worldwide, necessitating liver transplantation in 5% and causing death in 2% of patients. It took some effort to clarify the cause of the novel hepatitis epidemic.
