AI Article Synopsis

  • - A lytic phage called UF_RH6 was sequenced, which specifically targets the bacterial species Pseudomonas aeruginosa, commonly linked to respiratory infections.
  • - The phage was isolated from the respiratory secretion of a patient suffering from an infection caused by P. aeruginosa.
  • - UF_RH6 has a genome size of 94,715 base pairs and contains information to produce 130 proteins.

Article Abstract

We report the genome sequence of a lytic phage named UF_RH6, which infects Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This phage was isolated from a respiratory secretion sample from a patient with pulmonary P. aeruginosa. UF_RH6 belongs to the family and the genus . Its genome is 94,715 bp in length and encodes 130 proteins.
