In this paper, synchronization and encrypted communication transmissions of analog and digital messages in a deterministic small-world network (DSWN) are presented. In the first instance, we use a network with 3 coupled nodes in a nearest-neighbor (NN) topology, then the amount of nodes is increased until reaching a DSWN with 24 nodes. The synchronization and encrypted communication transmissions using a DSWN are presented experimentally by using Chua's chaotic circuit as node, in both analog and digital electronic implementations, where for the continuous version (CV) we use operational amplifiers (OA), and in the discretized version (DV) we use Euler's numerical algorithm implemented in an embedded system by using an Altera/Intel FPGA and external digital-to-analog converters.

Objective: To delineate the structural connectome alterations in patients with chronic migraine (CM), episodic migraine (EM), and healthy controls (HCs).
Background: The pathogenesis of migraine chronification remains elusive, with structural brain network changes potentially playing a key role. However, there is a paucity of research employing graph theory analysis to explore changes in the whole brain structural networks in patients with CM and EM.

Even after recovery from the COVID-19 infection, there have been a multitude of cases reporting post-COVID neurological symptoms including memory loss, brain fog, and attention deficit. Many studies have observed localized microstructural damages in the white matter regions of COVID survivors, indicating potential damage to the axonal pathways in the brain. Therefore, in this study, we have investigated the global impact of localized damage to white matter tracts using graph theoretical analysis of the structural connectome of 45 COVID-recovered subjects and 30 Healthy Controls (HCs).

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders, while the potential neurological mechanisms are poorly understood. To explore the alterations in the white matter (WM) structural connectome in children with drug-naïve ADHD, forty-nine ADHD and 51 age- and gender-matched typically developing (TD) children aged 6-14 years were enrolled. WM structural connectivity based on deterministic diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) was constructed in 90 cortical and subcortical regions, and topological parameters of the resulting graphs were calculated.
