Peripheral nerve injury affects some people with multiple myeloma; this condition can be brought on by the disease itself or by the treatments they receive. Such a complication increases patients' financial burden, causes treatment to be interrupted or delayed, and reduces treatment efficacy. Background: Although the Chronic Care Model (CCM) provides the essential structural components of practice organisation to deliver high-quality type 2 diabetes (T2D) care, little is known about which of its elements are most important, and the extent to which it may reduce social inequities in the quality of T2D care. This study aims to assess the association between the implementation of CCM's structural elements and the quality of T2D care processes and outcomes in Flanders (Belgium), paying specific attention to differences by patients' socioeconomic vulnerability.
Methods: We developed a longitudinal database combining information on primary care practices' CCM implementation, with individual-level health insurance and medical lab data.

Background And Objectives: Mechanism studies have indicated that magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) have important biological functions in glucose regulation, but epidemiological data on their associations with glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) are sparse. We aimed to explore the associations of Mg and Ca with abnormal HbA1c, and examine the mediating effects of inflammation in coronary artery disease (CAD) Chinese adults.
Methods And Study Design: A hospital-based cross-sectional study of 11934 patients with CAD was conducted.

Artificial oxygen carriers have emerged as potential substitutes for red blood cells in situations of major blood loss, including accidents, surgical procedures, trauma, childbirth, stomach ulcers, hemorrhagic shock, and blood vessel ruptures which can lead to sudden reduction in blood volume. The therapeutic delivery of oxygen utilizing artificial oxygen carriers as red blood cell substitutes presents a promising avenue for treating a spectrum of disease models. Apart from that, the recent advancement of artificial oxygen carriers intended to supplant conventional blood transfusions draws significant attention due to the exigencies of warfare and the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
