Flexible solid-state Zn-ion batteries (ZIBs) have garnered considerable attention for next-generation power sources, but the corrosion, dendrite growth, and interfacial problems severely hinder their practical applications. Herein, a high-performance flexible solid-state ZIB with a unique heterostructure electrolyte is facilely fabricated through ultraviolet-assisted printing strategy. The solid polymer/hydrogel heterostructure matrix not only isolates water molecules and optimizes electric field distribution for dendrite-free anode, but also facilitates fast and in-depth Zn transport in the cathode. The in situ ultraviolet-assisted printing creates cross-linked and well-bonded interfaces between the electrodes and the electrolyte, enabling low ionic transfer resistance and high mechanical stability. As a result, the heterostructure electrolyte based ZIB outperforms single-electrolyte based cells. It not only delivers a high capacity of 442.2 mAh g with long cycling life of 900 cycles at 2 A g , but also maintains stable operation under mechanical bending and high-pressure compression in a wide temperature range (-20 °C to 100 °C).

Ultraviolet-assisted Direct Ink Writing(UV-DIW), an extrusion-based additive manufacturing technology, has emerged as a prominent 3D printing technique and is currently an important topic in bone tissue engineering research. This study focused on the printability of double-network (DN) bioink (Nano-hydroxyapatite/Polyethylene glycol diacrylate(nHA/PEGDA)). Next, we search for the optimal UV-DIW printing parameters for the scaffold formed by nHA-PEGDA.

The ability to deposit pattern-specific molecular layers onto silicon with either regional p-/n-doping properties or that act as chemoselective resists for area-selective deposition is highly sought after in the bottom-up manufacturing of microelectronics. In this study, we demonstrate a simple protocol for the covalent attachment and patterning of a phosphorus-based dopant precursor onto silicon(100) functionalized with reactive carbene species. This method relies on selective surface reactions, which provide terminal functionalities that can be photochemically modified via ultraviolet-assisted contact printing between the carbene-functionalized substrate and an elastomeric stamp inked with the inorganic dopant precursor.

The complexity of surgical treatments for large-area soft tissue injuries makes placing large implants into injury sites challenging. Aliphatic polyesters are often used for scaffold preparation in tissue engineering owing to their excellent biodegradability and biocompatibility. Scaffolds with shape-memory effect (SME) can also avoid large-volume trauma during the implantation.

In photopolymerization-induced 3D printing of glass and ceramics, the demand for a slurry that has high photosensitivity, low viscosity, and high solid content leads to a limited selection of suspended particles. To this end, ultraviolet-assisted direct ink writing (UV-DIW) is proposed as a new 3D printing compatible approach. A curable UV ink is synthesized, which overcomes the material limitation.
