Ker Gawl. is one of the the most diverse and fastest-growing genera of angiosperm. Most species have been discovered in a limited area or a single site through morphological comparison. Because of the lack of population studies, morphological variation within species and the boundaries of some species remain unclear. In recent years, combining genetic and morphological markers has become a powerful approach for species delimitation. In this study, we performed population sampling and integrated morphometrics and microsatellite genetic diversity analyses to determine the species diversity of in Taiwan. We identified three species, namely Hayata; A.daibuensisHayatavar.daibuensis; A.mushaensisHayatavar.mushaensis; and reduced C.T.Lu, K.C.Chuang & J.C.Wang to the variety level, and described a new variety, A.daibuensisHayatavar.longkiauensis. The description, diagnosis, distribution, and photographs of this new variety as well as a key to the known Taiwanese are provided.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and esophageal motility of patients with gastric cardia submucosal tumors (SMTs) and the associated changes after endoscopic resection based on high-resolution impedance manometry (HRIM).
Methods: From our electronic database, we identified patients who underwent pre-operative evaluation of gastric cardia SMTs between 2015 and 2023. All patients completed standardized symptom questionnaires and underwent endoscopic ultrasonography and HRIM.

TP53 mutations are recognized to correlate with a worse prognosis in individuals with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). There exists an immediate necessity to pinpoint selective treatment for patients carrying TP53 mutations. Potential drugs were identified by comparing drug sensitivity differences, represented by the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50), between TP53 mutant and wild-type NSCLC cell lines using database analysis.

Background: The prone position is commonly used in surgical procedures and is known to cause significant hemodynamic changes, particularly a reduction in cardiac output. This study aimed to explore the relationship between intra-abdominal pressure (IAP), airway pressure, and cardiac output during spine surgeries under general anesthesia.
Methods: Twenty-five patients undergoing elective spine surgery in the prone position were enrolled in this prospective observational study.

Purpose: This retrospective study aimed to investigate demographic characteristics, predisposing factors, and clinical outcomes in patients with parasitic keratitis.
Methods: Medical records of patients with molecularly confirmed Acanthamoeba or microsporidia, identified through corneal scraping specimens (collected between September 21, 2017, and June 27, 2023), were reviewed. Demographic data, clinical profiles, such as symptom duration before confirmed diagnosis, antiviral treatment pre-diagnosis, contact lens use, tap water and soil contamination, ocular trauma, and treatment regimens, were analyzed.

Background: Cholangiocarcinoma is a challenging malignancy with limited responses to conventional therapies, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) are key components of the tumor microenvironment (TME) and have been implicated in the immune response to cancer. However, the role and difference of TLSs and TILs in patients with cholangiocarcinoma remains unclear.
