The current study investigated the effect of a single administration of human chorionic gonadotropin hormone (hCG) and its nanoparticles (NPs) on testicular hemodynamics using Doppler ultrasonography, testicular volume, testicular echotexture (PIX), and circulating testosterone and nitric oxide (NO) in pubescent goat bucks during summer months. Fifteen Baladi goats were divided into three groups (5 in each) and subjected to a single intramuscular administration of one ml of physiological saline ( control group), one ml containing 500 IU of hCG (hCG group) or one ml containing 125 IU of hCG NPs (hCG NPs group). Testicular hemodynamics assessment was done just before administration (0 h), and at 2, 4, 6, 24, and daily till 7 days after administration.

Unlabelled: This study aims to determine the incidence, clinical course, and risk factors of hypothyroidism following cardiac catheter (CC) in infants with congenital heart diseases (CHD). This prospective study involved 115 patients with CHD, all aged 3 years or younger, who underwent CC, as well as 100 healthy age- and sex-matched controls. Baseline thyroid function tests (TFTs) were conducted for both the patients and controls.

This article reports on new findings on integrative and complementary medicine published in 2024. The implementation of guidelines for the management of pain in cancer patients is discussed. Then, a literature review is presented, that aims to clarify the role of complementary approaches in the management of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and provides a concrete example of how recommendations are established.

Diabetology is a continuously evolving discipline, many molecules are developed, and treatment recommendations change regularly according to the latest published studies. After lifestyle measures that must always be preferred before any drug, metformin remains the pharmacological basis of treatment. Current recommendations favor the introduction of an SGLT2 inhibitor or a GLP-1 receptor agonist after metformin because these molecules have shown beneficial cardiovascular and renal effects.
