In this work, D-(-)-α-phenylglycine (APG)-functionalized magnetic nanocatalyst (FeO@SiO@PTS-APG) was designed and successfully prepared in order to implement the principles of green chemistry for the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline (PHQ) and 1,4-dihydropyridine (1,4-DHP) derivatives under ultrasonic irradiation in EtOH. After preparing of the nanocatalyst, its structure was confirmed by different spectroscopic methods or techniques including Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The performance of FeO@SiO@PTS-APG nanomaterial, as a heterogeneous catalyst for the Hantzsch condensation, was examined under ultrasonic irradiation and various conditions. The yield of products was controlled under various conditions to reach more than 84% in just 10 min, which indicates the high performance of the nanocatalyst along with the synergistic effect of ultrasonic irradiation. The structure of the products was identified by melting point as well as FTIR and H NMR spectroscopic methods. The FeO@SiO@PTS-APG nanocatalyst is easily prepared from commercially available, lower toxic and thermally stable precursors through a cost-effective, highly efficient and environmentally friendly procedure. The advantages of this method include simplicity of the operation, reaction under mild conditions, the use of an environmentally benign irradiation source, obtaining pure products with high efficiency in short reaction times without using a tedious path, which all of them address important green chemistry principles. Finally, a reasonable mechanism is proposed for the preparation of polyhydroquinoline (PHQ) and 1,4-dihydropyridine (1,4-DHP) derivatives in the presence of FeO@SiO@PTS-APG bifunctional magnetic nanocatalyst.

Aim And Objective: It is well established that 4H-pyran derivatives hold a significant position in synthetic organic chemistry due to their diverse biological and pharmacological properties. This work aims to introduce a novel synthetic pathway for highly functionalized 4H-pyran derivatives, achieved through a 1,4-Michael addition followed by a cascade cyclization. This reaction is catalyzed by LiOH·H2O under ultrasonic irradiation in water, offering an efficient and environmentally friendly approach.

Constructing a strong bonded interface is highly desired to build fast charge-transfer channels and tune reactive sites for optimizing CO photoreduction. In this work, a covalent triazine framework (CTF) combined with a BiSBr heterojunction is designed using an electrostatic self-assembly process. Due to the oppositely charged states between two components and ultrasonic treatment, a strong coupled interface is realized with the formation of Bi-C/N/O bonds, leading to robust interfacial polarization.

The peculiarities of the crystal formation from supersaturated aqueous solutions of CuSO on polymer substrates were studied using X-ray diffractometry. During the crystal formation, the test solutions were irradiated with one or two counter-propagating ultrasonic beams. Test solutions were prepared using natural deionized water with a deuterium content of 157 ± 1 ppm.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore a combined transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) and radiomics model for predicting tumor regression grade (TRG) after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC).
Methods: Among 190 patients with LARC, 53 belonged to GRG and 137 to PRG. Eight TRUS parameters were identified as statistically significant (P < 0.

Quinolone antibiotics are a crucial class of synthetic antibacterial agents, widely utilized due to their broad spectrum of antibacterial activity. Due to the development of antimicrobial resistance, the potency of quinolone drugs decreased. Many conventional methods have been developed to elevate amination rate and to improve yield.
