A novel Mg(BH)·1.9NH-MgBr·2NH composite was demonstrated as a solid-state Mg electrolyte. The decoration of MgBr·2NH nanoparticles with an average size of 3.7 nm on the surface of Mg(BH)·1.9NH improves the Mg conductivity to 2.1 × 10 S cm at 50 °C and offers long-term stability towards the Mg metal anode.

Conversion of nitrogen (N) to ammonia (NH) is a significant process that occurs in environment and in the field of chemistry, but the traditional NH synthesis method requires high energy and pollutes the environment. In this work, the charge, orbital and spin order of the single-atom Fe loaded on heteroatom (X) doped-MoCS (X = B, N, O, F, P and Se) and its synergistic effect on electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction (eNRR) were investigated using well-defined density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Results revealed that the X-element modified the charge loss capability of Fe atoms and thereby introduced a net spin through heteroatom doping, resulting in the magnetic moment modulation of Fe.

The quantum-well-like two-dimensional lead-halide perovskites exhibit strongly confined excitons due to the quantum confinement and reduced dielectric screening effect, which feature intriguing excitonic effects. The ionic nature of the perovskite crystal and the "softness" of the lattice induce the complex lattice dynamics. There are still open questions about how the soft lattices decorate the nature of excitons in these hybrid materials.

In this study, octenyl succinic acid sodium starch (OSAS) decorated with chitosan (CS) of different molecular weights (50-150 kDa) and concentrations (10-30 mg/mL) was used to stabilize an emulsion coencapsulating with vitamin A (V) and vitamin D (V). The effect of CS decoration on the thermal and UV stability of the emulsion, as well as the underlying mechanism, was elucidated. The incorporation of CS increased the retention rates of V and V by 11.

The screening of glycoprotein markers has become an integral part of the in vitro diagnosis of malignant tumors. Herein, an electrochemical method based on alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-mediated enzymatic silver deposition is reported for the highly sensitive detection of glycoprotein tumor markers, in which ALP enzymes are decorated to the glycan moieties of targets via the lectin-carbohydrate interactions. As glycoproteins are conjugated with multiple glycan chains, lectin-mediated labeling can result in the decoration of each target with multiple ALP enzymes.

This work investigates the dynamic behavior of droplets on superhydrophobic cylindrical surfaces with a convex ridge through experimental analysis, focusing on the effects of varying the diameter ratio ( = ) and the ridge width ratio (δ = ). Impact morphology diagrams are established to reveal the morphology transition of the droplet as a function of and δ. The splash threshold is obtained, and the energy loss during the collision process is analyzed by examining the recovery coefficient and the splitting angle, with the splitting threshold found to be dependent on δ.
