Despite the unprecedented progress in lead-based perovskite solar cells (PSCs), the toxicity and leakage of lead from degraded PSCs triggered by deep-level defects and poor crystallization quality increase environmental risk and become a critical challenge for eco-friendly PSCs. Here, a novel 2D polyoxometalate (POM)-based metal-organic framework (MOF) (C NH ) (C N H ) Zn (H P Mo O ) ·2H O (POMOF) is ingeniously devised to address these issues. Note that the integration of POM endows POMOF with great advantages of electrical conductivity and charge mobility. Ordered POMOF induces the crystallization of high-quality perovskite film and eliminates lead-based defects to improve internal stability. The resultant PSCs achieve a superior power conversion efficiency (23.3%) accompanied by improved stability that maintains ≈90% of its original efficiency after 1600 h. Meanwhile, POMOF with phosphate groups effectively prevents lead leakage through in situ chemical anchoring and adsorption methods to reduce environmental risk. This work provides an effective strategy to minimize lead-based defects and leakage in sustainable PSCs through multi-functional POM-based MOF material.

Ultraportable (UP) X-ray devices are ideal to use in community-based settings, particularly for chest X-ray (CXR) screening of tuberculosis (TB). Unfortunately, there is insufficient guidance on the radiation safety of these devices. This study aims to determine the radiation dose by UP X-ray devices to both the public and radiographers compared to international dose limits.

Drug development is known to be a costly and time-consuming process, which is prone to high failure rates. Drug repurposing allows drug discovery by reusing already approved compounds. The outcomes of past clinical trials can be used to predict novel drug-disease associations by leveraging drug- and disease-related similarities.

Cytotoxic DNAs, methylation, histones and histones binding proteins are speculated to induce DNA sensors. Under stressed condition, the antigenic patterns, PAMPs and DAMPs, trigger the hyperactive innate response through DNA, DNA-RNA hybrids, oligonucleotides, histones and mtDNA to initiate cGAMP-STING-IFN I cascade. HSV -1&2, HIV, Varicella- Zoster virus, Polyomavirus, Cytomegalovirus, and KSHV negatively regulate the STING-MAVS-TBK-1/1KKE pathway.

Ossification of the ligamentum flavum (OLF) can lead to dural ossification, significantly increasing the risk of complications, including intraoperative nerve injury. The application of augmented reality (AR) and advanced digital technologies in spine surgery has the potential to reduce these risks. This case report highlights a perioperative nerve injury-free microsurgery using elastic image fusion technology, which integrates preoperative imaging with intraoperative computed tomography for a patient with severe stenotic OLF and dural ossification.

Gram-negative bacteria pose an increased threat to public health because of their ability to evade the effects of many antimicrobials with growing antibiotic resistance globally. One key component of gram-negative bacteria resistance is the functionality and the cells' ability to repair the outer membrane (OM) which acts as a barrier for the cell to the external environment. The biosynthesis of lipids, particularly lipopolysaccharides, or lipooligosaccharides (LPS/LOS) is essential for OM repair.
