Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a neurological disorder characterized by chronic headaches, cognitive difficulties, reduced quality of life, and rarely irreversible visual loss. Community diagnosis is often challenging due to unfamiliarity with current guidelines and a lack of clinical experience, leading to misdiagnosis and treatment delays, which can negatively impact visual recovery and quality of life. Our study examined the time to diagnosis and investigated the barriers to timely diagnosis in adults with newly diagnosed IIH.

Typically, EBT presents along the mammary line, although usually in the axillary region, it has been located occasionally in unusual sites such as the vulva. Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a heterogeneous neurobiological condition characterized by behavioral problems and delayed neurodevelopment. Although transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has been proposed as an alternative treatment for patients with ASD because of its promising benefits in reducing repetitive behaviors and enhancing executive functions, the use of high-intensity pulses (Hi-TMS) appears to be related to the side effects of the therapy. Low-intensity TMS (Li-TMS) has been partially investigated, but it may have clinical effects on ASD and simultaneously increase treatment safety.

Socioeconomic, health system, and surgical capacity barriers may delay colostomy reversal. A surgery camp model for addressing the burden of unreversed colostomies has not previously been undertaken in Malawi.
