The paper is concerned with the results of quantitative studies on the sputum of 106 patients with acute pneumonia. Etiological structure of acute pneumonia, the dependence of a clinical course of disease on a sputum microflora composition type and some indices of natural resistance and immunity were shown.

Histone Deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) is an intriguing therapeutic target in cancer re-search, distinguished as the only HDAC family member predominantly located in the cyto-plasm. HDAC6 features two catalytic domains and a unique ubiquitin-binding domain, which sets it apart from other HDACs. Beyond its role in histone deacetylation, HDAC6 targets vari-ous nonhistone substrates, such as α-tubulin, cortactin, Heat Shock Protein 90 (HSP90), and Heat Shock Factor 1 (HSF1).

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous respiratory disorder characterized by persistent airflow limitation. The diverse pathogenic mechanisms underlying COPD progression remain incompletely understood. Macrophages, serving as the most representative immune cells in the respiratory tract, constitute the first line of innate immune defense and maintain pulmonary immunological homeostasis.

Resistance to the currently available treatment paradigms is one of the main factors that contributes to poor outcomes in patients with advanced cervical cancer. Novel targeted therapy approaches might enhance the patient's treatment outcome and are urgently needed for this malignancy. While chimeric-antigen receptor (CAR)-based adoptive immunotherapy displays a promising treatment strategy for liquid cancers, their use against cervical cancer is largely unexplored.

Understanding the development and maintenance of immunological memory is important for efforts to eliminate parasitic diseases like leishmaniasis. Leishmaniasis encompasses a range of pathologies, resulting from infection with protozoan parasites belonging to the subgenera and of the genus A striking feature of these infections is that natural or drug-mediated cure of infection generally confers life-long protection against disease. The generation of protective T cell responses are necessary to control infections.
