Rebamipide (Reba) is a well-known gastroprotective agent. However, its potential protective efficacy against intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R)-induced liver injury remains elusive. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the modulatory effect of Reba on SIRT1/β-catenin/FOXO1-NFκB signaling cascade. Thirty-two male Wistar albino rats were randomized into four groups: G1 (sham): rats were subjected to surgical stress without I/R, GII (I/R): rats were subjected to 60 min/4-h I/R, GIII (Reba + I/R): rats received Reba 100 mg/kg/day, p.o. for three weeks, then were subjected to 60 min/4-h I/R, and GIV (Reba + EX527 + I/R): rats received Reba (100 mg/kg/day p.o.) + EX527 (10 mg/kg/day, ip) for three weeks before I/R. Reba pretreatment decreased the serum levels of ALT and AST, improved I/R-induced histological alterations of both intestine and liver, increased hepatic Silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1) expression/content, β-catenin expression/immunoreactivity, and FOXO1 expression, while suppressed NF-κB p65 expression/protein content. In addition, Reba increased hepatic total antioxidant capacity (TAC), while suppressed malondialdehyde (MDA), tumor necrosis factor (TNFα), and caspase-3 activity. Furthermore, Reba inhibited BAX expression, while upregulated Bcl-2 expression. Reba exhibited a plausible protective effect against intestinal I/R-mediated liver injury by modulating SIRT1/β-catenin/FOXO1-NFκB signaling mechanisms.

To accurately identify occupational health and safety hazards in different industries with distinct characteristics, a comprehensive occupational ergonomics assessment scale was developed by integrating the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) evaluation framework, the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and the Ovako Working Posture Analysing System (OWAS) . Between May 2023 and May 2024, based on the proportional reasoning method and segmented function method, the algorithm logic of RULA and REBA was aligned, and the evaluation rules for the revision content of the innovation scale were inferred using the method of proportion reasoning. Twenty postures were randomly selected for correlation verification.

Plastic damage of REBCO (REBaCuO, where RE=rare earth) coated conductors by screening current stress (SCS) is a significant concern for ultra-high-field superconducting magnets. Indeed, the third Little Big Coil (LBC3), a REBCO magnet that generated a record, high field of 45.5 T, showed wavy plastic damage produced by excess SCS in all pancakes except two made with single-slit conductors having their slit edges pointing inward towards the magnet center.

Rebaudioside M2 (RebM2) is characterized as 13-[(2--β-d-glucopyranosyl-3--β-d-glucopyranosyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl)oxy] ent-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid-[(2--β-d-glucopyranosyl-6--β-d-glucopyranosyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) ester], an isomer of rebaudioside M with a 1 → 6 sugar linkage. The product was found in the biotransformation of rebaudioside D (RebD) catalyzed by a glycosyltransferase from (UGT). Herein, guided by consensus engineering and molecular dynamics simulations, a variant UGT with enhanced activity and thermostability was obtained.
