A simple spontaneous deposition kit for Po determination using alpha spectrometry was newly designed, and polonium deposition characteristics under various physicochemical conditions were evaluated using it. The high-purity silver disc (99.99%) showed high deposition efficiencies of over 85.1% in the HCl concentration range of 0.01-6 M. Optimal physicochemical factors were determined to be a temperature of 90 °C, deposition time of 90 min, and the use of ascorbic acid as a reducing agent in an amount similar to that of the interfering element (Fe).

Grouping of chemicals has been proposed as a strategy to speed up the screening and identification of potential substances of concern among the broad chemical universe under REACH. Such grouping is usually based on shared structural features and should only be used for the prioritization objectives. However, additional considerations (as well as structural similarity) are needed, e.

The development and modification of grouting materials constitute crucial factors influencing the effectiveness of grouting. Given the pivotal role of water in the hydration of cement-based composite materials and construction processes, this study proposes an exploratory approach using green, economical magnetized water technology to enhance the performance of cement grouts. The research systematically investigates the effects of magnetized water on the fundamental grouting properties (stability, rheological behavior, and stone body strength) of cement grouts, prepared under varying magnetization conditions (including magnetic intensity, water flow speed, and cycle times).

In this study, a large drinking water reservoir (Fengshuba Reservoir) was chosen as a representative case, and the bacterial communities in the sediments and soils of Water-level fluctuating zone (WLFZ) as well as their responses to heavy metals (HMs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were systematically investigated. The results indicated that the abundance and diversity of the bacterial community obviously changed with seasonal hydrological variations in sediments, and the absolute abundance and composition of bacteria community differed significantly between the sediment phase and soil phase. Bacteria with the ability to degrade pollutants rapidly proliferate and gain ascendancy in the soil phase, with Burkholderia-Caballeronia-Paraburkholderia (B-C-P) and Bradyrhizobium forming the core of the largest community.

PM has a detrimental impact on human health and has become a focus of widespread concern. The tempo-spatial distribution of emerging pollutants has been extensively studied, while there is a scarcity of understanding their vertical distribution in atmospheric environment. Here we investigated the vertical profiles of phthalate esters (PAEs), organophosphate esters (OPEs), neonicotinoids (NEOs), and per-and polyfluorinated substances (PFASs) in PM at ground level (4.

Mechanical pressing in Daqu production has introduced quality-affecting variations. Up to now, clear elucidation has not yet been applied to the mechanisms behind this phenomenon, and the determinants of Daqu quality are not yet completely excavated. For this reason, the physicochemical factors, enzyme activity, metabolites, and microbial communities were compared between the mechanical Daqu (MDQ) and traditional Daqu (TDQ) in this paper.
